Fenris made sure to keep himself in front of Ana and keep the gun pointed towards himself the whole time she approached. Once she was closer he looked the rogue in the eye and growled. "You know the laws. Why did you attempt a change on a human?" he growled out.

Ana stepped a little closer to Fenris. She positioned herself so that the rofue couldnt see her hand as it anxiously gripped the back of Fenris's arm.

Fenris glancedd back at Ana when he felt her grip the back of his arm before looking back at the rogue. "It was either I Changed the human or your friendly little neighbor of your rival pack was going to Change him." the rogue growled.

Ana bit back a sob. She hated this thing almost as much as she hated vampires.

Fenris could sense that Ana was becoming more upset. "What do you mean?" he asked the rogue. "The little human was found walking along the border. I managed to come across him seconds before a partol from the other pack showed up. I had no other choice. It was either Change him myself or let the other pack kill him for sport. You know how they feel about humans. I had to give him a fighting chance. He took off not long after that and I wasn't able to track him down." the rogue explained.

Anas face became angry.If you knew the hell you were to cause, you would have let him die.She spat.

The rogue let out a growl when he heard Ana and the gun snapped back up from where he had started to lower it to his side. Fenris' arm reflexively tightened against Ana, holding her tight to his back. "You don't understand pup. That other pack would have ripped him to shreds. They would have tortured him to the point he would have begged for death and then they would have left him to bleed on the ground still alive. With as many Weres as there were in that patrol it would have been a fifty-fifty chance that he would have been Changed anyways." the rogue snapped. "At least now he gets the chance to choose."

Ana glared at the wolf silently. There was a vicious tearing sound from a tree above them and Ashton fell out, now in human form. Ana gasped and started to go towards him.

Fenris gave her arm a gentle squeeze to warn her to be careful before letting her go. The rogue rolled his eyes at Ashton. "I will give him some of my blood so that you can give him the choice." he told Fenris, who nodded silently. The rogue backed up into the cabin and came back moments later with a small vile full of his blood, the gun still in his hand. "It's up to him." he growled out.

Ana went to Ashton and put her arms around him. When the rogue came back with a vial full of blood, she narrowed her eyes.What exactly will the blood do to him?

Fenris glanced over at Ana as he took the vial and sniffed it. He wanted to be sure it was actually his cousin's blood. "It will give him the choice to either become human again or to fully become a Were." he told her, the last few words quieter than the rest.

Ana looked at Fenris.How does he choose?She asked. Ashton got up and rose to his rather small full height.

Fenris looked over at Ana and Ashton. "Once he drinks the blood, he simply has to make up his mind on which life he wants." he told her.

Ana looked at Ashton.Ash?He turned his head to her.What do you want to do?Ashton thought for a second and then walked over to take the blood from Fenris. He closed his eyes and drank it.

Fenris watched as Ashton took the vial and drank the blood, holding his breath in anticipation of what the other male would choose.

Time stood still for a minute, then Ashton dropped to the ground. Ana rushed towards him and cradled his head.Ash?She put her hand over his heart, then frowned.His heartbeat. It's slower. Like... Like mine.She whispered.

Fenris' eyes widened in surprise. He knew that when humans were first changed that their heartbeats slowed before speeding up to match the speed of a true Were's large heart.

Ana spread herself out on the two seater couch, her eyes delicately closed with silent sleep. Her black hair spread wildly around her face.

Fenris yawned widely from where he lay on his bed in his wolf form. He stood up and stretched before leaping to the ground and heading out of his room. He needed to check on Ana and Ashton to make sure they were both okay.

Ana shifted in her sleep and turned over, now on her stomach. Ashton lay on another couch a little way away.

Fenris padded into the living room of the huge house. He couldn't help the wolfy grin that spread across his face at the sight of Ana and Ashton asleep on the two couches. Later he would give each of them their own room upstairs, but first he needed to make sure they both ate enough. New Weres always seemed to have a rather fierce appetite. It was usually only satisfied by hunting. He moved over and, with an amused glint in his eyes, he licked Ana from her chin to her cheek bone.
