Ana woke up with a gasp and fell off the couch. When she realised what had happened she pouted like a little girl.I wasn't asleep.She lied.

Fenris let out an amused snort, his tail wagging slightly as he sat down. He simply rolled his eyes and gave her a wolfy grin before glancing over at Ashton. 'How is he doing?' he asked.

She looked over at her brother and smiled.Hes fine. She got up, stretching high.Are you going to stay like that all day?She asked. When he was in his wolf form she had to look down to speak to him.

Fenris nodded and at her question gave her another grin. He quickly Shifted and stretched, yawning slightly. "Does it annoy you?" he asked teasingly. He was in one of his more playful, relaxed kind of moods.

No!She said quickly, then smiled apologetically when she realised he was joking.Im going for a walk. You coming?

Fenris smiled widely at her. "I would love to. When we get back though I'd like to take both of you on your first hunt." he told her as he motioned towards Ashton.

Ana flashed him a white toothed grin.Brilliant! I was going to go down to the northern lake.

Fenris nodded, grinning, before looking at Ashton again. "Should we wake him first?" he asked.

She looked at Ashton then shook her head.No. He won't panic.

"If you're sure." Fenris moved to the front door and held it open for her. "Lead the way." he told her with a grin. He had gone back to the pack last night to put the older warrior, his beta, in temporary charge of the pack.

Ana smiled at him as she walked past, heading straight north. She turned around.Coming?She called.

Fenris smiled as he shut the door and quickly caught up to her. "Of course." she told her.

She playfully nudged him with her elbow.So, there's something that's been on my mind lately.She said, her face.serious as they walked.

Fenris smiled at her before his eyes took on a slightly worried look at her comment. "And what would that be?" he asked.

Fenris looked at her and his eyes took on an almost hopeful look. "What do you feel now?" he asked as they left the town limits behind them.

Ana stopped and turned to face him.Why dont you tell me?She asked, her voice low.

Fenris stopped when she did and his eyes widened slightly at her question. He hesitated before reaching up to caress her cheek with a broad hand. He moved a little closer to look her straight in the eye. "Only you can know exactly what you feel." he whispered softly. Just like the rest of his kind, he was not good with talking of emotions, but rather showing them through actions. This was complicated.

If Fenris had been in his wolf form his ears would have been twitching nervously, instead his broad shoulders tensed up. He was afraid of what she would say if he admitted his feelings to her now. He breathed in deeply before letting out a long sigh. "I love you, just like I loved the woman you were before." he whispered, closing his eyes. He was almost afraid to see her reaction.

Ana leaned forward and up in her toes and kissed his cheek.
