Ashton whipped his head around at the howling and snarled, taken off guard. Ana caught him and quickly soothed him, her eyes worried. She looked over her shoulder at Fenris.He might Change when the moon is up, if the slightest thing angers or surprises him.She told him.

Fenris bristled at Ashton's snarl, but kept himself from growling when he noticed Ana's worried look. He moved to walk beside them on Ashton's other side. "We can deal with that when the time comes. I won't let anything happen." he told both of them.

Ashton completely ignored him and turned his head around, listening to the night sounds around him. Ana smiled gratefully. Thank you.She murmered.

Fenris nodded and continued to lead the way into the forest, seemingly not following any marked path. "How long can the both of you go until your to tired to keep walking?" he asked.

She shrugged.He never gets tired. I've seen him walk a day without stopping. She said, gesturing at Ashton.I'll be fine for a couple of hours.

Fenris nodded. "He's typical for a human Changed by a rogue. They rarely get tired which is similar to a full Were. Rogues don't have the power that Alphas do to fully Change a human so it's against Were law to Change someone, but that doesn't stop it from happening from time to time." he told her. "You were just recently Changed so your body might not have had the time to fully come into its new strength." he explained. "But a few hours is all we'll need to get where the Rogue lives."

She nodded.Okay. Let's go.She said, starting to walk. Her natural instinct to take control was coming out.

Fenris looked at her oddly but shook it off and walked on. He moved quietly through the trees, making no more sound then a wolf would. His senses were well attuned to the territory. The place they were heading to was the most desolate place on the edge of his pack's land. It was an old human town and the only humans that still lived there were either gang members, thieves, or other criminals.

Ana followed closely, stopping every so often to make sure that her brother was following. He made no noise.

Fenris glanced back occasionally when he noticed Ana stopping to check on her brother. After several hours of walking they finally reached the edge of town. It looked the same as Fenris remembered it. The people knew that the old town was in a forest that not even the human police would venture into so they walked around freely. There were to many rumors about people going in and not coming back out. The gangs and criminals had learned quickly that as long as they don't hunt or kill anything in the forest nothing will happen to them. They operated much like a pack. The stronger gangs were on top, but they respected the weaker gangs in the fear that they might join together to get rid of them once and for all. It was something Fenris understood. He did live with them for several years after all.

Ana followed him closely, eyes glancing around nervously. Ashton heard a bird fluttering out of a tree and growled softly, resuming to walk only when Ana tugged him.

Fenris came to a stop outside of town and turned to face Ana and Ashton. "It is much the same here as being at the caves. Do not look anyone in the eye and do not challenge anyone. Stick close to me and no one should bother you. Understood?" he asked. He was more worried about Ashton revealing what they were than Ana.

Ana nodded and Ashton grinned at him eerily.We need to keep moving.Ana said quietly.

Fenris nodded with a wary look towards Ashton. "We'll stay at my home for the night and then we'll go rogue hunting tomorrow." he told her as he led the way into town. He stood up to his full height and lifted his head up high. He looked intimidating and the people they passed moved out of their way. Those that had seen him before knew to stay far away and those that hadn't had heard the rumors.

She nodded in repsonse. She looked at him oddly when people avoided him.Do you have some sort of reputation here or something?

Fenris looked back at her and gave her a small smile. "You could say that." he chuckled. "Humans don't rely on their instincts often, but our kind has a certain presence that makes humans want to avoid us. Sort of like the way deer will avoid predators. We can cover the it to allow us to blend in with humans, but I don't want to get into or cause any trouble." he explained.

Ana nodded.Okay. Is your house far?

Fenris shook his head as they reached the end of the main road. A huge house that once belonged to the mayor of the town stood before them. "Home sweet human home." he said with a grin as he unlocked the door and held it open for them.

Ana and Ashton went inside the house and looked around.

The house was surprisingly well kept despite Fenris having not lived in it for a few years. There was a large staircase that led up to the bedrooms and bathrooms. The downstairs consisted of a kitchen, living room, and dining room. "Feel free to go anywhere in the house you want. All of the windows are barred with silver so be careful. The people that used to live in the town were extremely superstitious and the took extra precautions." he warned them.

Ana looked around and smiled. She had a house once that looked like this, or vaguely.Thank you. For all of this. You've been very good to us.She said gratefully.

Fenris smiled at her, an edge of sadness to what should have been a happy expression. "It is no trouble at all. I'm happy to help in any way I can." he told them as he turned toward the staircase. He slowly climbed his way up and towards his old room.

Ana watched him go, her expression thoughtful. She turned and put her hand on her brother's shoulder and turned him to lead him to the spare bedrooms. As they walked past the window the moon shone through strongly. Ana whirled around as Ashton fell to the ground, tearing at his stomach.

Fenris had been sitting in the center of his bedroom. The large windows that covered one wall let the full moon's light in. He sat there soaking it up until the poisoning the silver had given him was gone. He could feel Colmillo just waiting at the back of his mind for him to slip up so he could take over. He heard a thump coming from down stairs and was on his feet in an instant. He went to the edge of the stairs and looked down to see Ashton on the ground with Ana nearby. "Get away from him." he told Ana quickly as he raced down the stairs. He went around the main room and shut all of the thick, heavy curtains to make sure none of the moonlight came in before turning to Ashton. He had no idea how the man would react.

Ana backed away slowly, her eyes wide. Ashton shook and trembled violently, groaning loudly. The interruption was not welcomed. He collapsed fully on the floor and arched his back up, gasping.
