Ana bared her own teeth in a silent snarl. Her eyes suddenly snapped wide open as she looked down at her hands, which were resting on Ashtons chest. His heart! His heart is stopped! Oh God, save him, please, do something! She stammered frantically.

(Okay just wondering)

Cuchilla's ears snapped back at Ana's words and quickly pressed a large paw-like hand on Ashton's chest, pushing the woman aside as she did so. The large Werewolf suddenly bared her dagger-like teeth and lurched forward. She bit down on every major vein except for the jugular. It looked almost as if she were going to shred him to pieces. She went back over each bite and sealed it by swiping her tongue over it. She moved her muzzle over his throat and lowered her mouth down around it. She bit down slowly, feeling the skin break under her teeth and her canines puncture the jugular. She ran her tongue over the wound several times before pulling back. She shook her bloody muzzle and sat back on her haunches, panting slightly, her ears pricked to listen for a heartbeat. The Change would spread through fresh blood with or without the heart beating. As long as it had only been a couple of minutes since it had stopped.

Ana gasped and flinched with every bite. Tears ran silently down her face. She covered his chest with her hand again. His heart slowly fluttered against her hand. She started to cry again, only this time of joy.

Fenris had moved behind Ana and gently rested his hands on her shoulders. When she started to cry he brushed them softly away with his finger. Cuchilla heard the man's heart start up again and let out a sigh of relief.

Ana looked up at the wolf gratefully. You've saved him. She whispered gratefully. Ashton groaned softly in pain.

Cuchilla dipped her head slightly to the woman. "He will need to be left alone for a while so that the Change can complete itself. I would suggest putting him in one of the bedrooms upstairs. He will need a quiet place to heal." she told Ana.

Ana looked at Fenris. Help me carry him up?

Fenris was about to nod when Cuchilla stood up. "I'll take him. You may jostle his body to much between the two of you." she told Ana and Fenris. She crouched low enough to pick the man up carefully in her muscular arms, holding him much like an infant. "Go and get the room ready." she told them.

Ana ran up to Ashtons room. She did a general tidy up of the room and then stripped the bed, replaced the sheets and folded the duvet under. She plumped the pillow and opened a window.

Cuchilla carried the man upstairs with Fenris at her side. She ducked under the bedroom door and entered the room. Moving to the bed she gently lay Ashton down.

Ashton flinched as he touched the bed and did his best to curl in on himself, shrinking away from the pain.

Cuchilla watched the man curl in on himself. In her existence she had seen plenty of Changed Weres going through intense pain due to having to be Bitten twice. She grabbed a thick blanket in her clawed hands and drew it up over Ashton. "He will need to rest. I can watch over him for now. I have no wish to return to my dormant state and the female has not expressed any eagerness to return to her form." she told the two of them.

Ana turned and left the room, trying to hide the tears that were overflowing. She collapsed into a couch and hid her face in her hands.

Cuchilla watched the woman leave before giving Fenris a pointed look. She turned and made herself comfortable on the floor beside the bed.

Fenris quickly followed after Ana. When she hid her face in her hands he gently sat on the edge of the couch beside her. He rubbed her back softly, trying to give her some comfort as he waited for her to talk to him if she wanted to.

Ashton lay still. Every so often he made a small whimper.

Ana stiffened under his touch. Anger was bubbling up quickly inside her.

Cuchilla flickered her ears back at the sound of the whimpers. She growled lowly and let her Alpha aurora fill the room. It was something that most Alpha females did with pups. It also usually helped to ease the mind of another Were.

Fenris felt Ana tense under his hand and winced when he felt her anger.

Ashton relaxed slowly. He was still in pain but he felt at ease.

Ana flew off the couch and spun around. Don't touch me. She hissed.

Cuchilla sighed when she felt he man relax. She curled up next to the bed and drifted into a light sleep.

Fenris stayed in his spot on the edge of the couch, holding his hands up. He ducked his head slightly and frowned as worry filled his eyes.

Ana stepped forward. How could you? She hissed in his face.

Guilt instantly filled his eyes. He knew what she was talking about, but he went ahead and asked. "How could I what?" he asked softly.

Ana punched him on the shoulder. You knew. I can tap into Ashtons thoughts, remember? Well I just did. Why didn't you tell me? She shouted.

Instead of getting angry like he usually did, Fenris only winced when she punched his shoulder. He dropped his gaze. "I thought that the Change would have healed him. I didn't know how bad it was and I gave him a chance to tell you. I was going to tell you if he didn't, but I didn't get the chance." he told her quietly. "I'm sorry." he told her miserably.

Ana turned around and stomped upstairs in a huff.

Fenris watched her leave. He Shifted and padded quietly after her, his tail and head drooping.

Ana stalked into her room and slammed the door.
