Ana's head shot up at the sound. She moved over to the window and peered out at the woman. She sighed and pulled the window open, waiting for a reaction with hands on her hips.

Careta waited until the window was opened. She motioned for the woman to step aside before Shifting and running the length of the branch, leaping for the open window.

Ana quickly sidestepped to allow the other woman to hurtle through her windowm

The white wolf landed lightly on the floor and skidded to a stop. She turned and Shifted as she faced the woman. "What do you want from Fenris? Status? Power?" she asked abruptly.

Ana raised her eyebrows.No, and no.

"If you don't want status or power then what do you want?" Careta asked, his voice slightly confused.

Ana's face was full of surprise.I want a companion. Have you never wanted that?

Careta looked at her oddly. "Is that what humans do? They become companions?" she asked. "Most Weres mate for a reason. And almost any mate an Alpha gets couldn't care less as long as their rank was raised."

Ana shrugged.Well then, I suppose times havw changed.She said.

Careta thought her words over before scowling. "Do you wish to be my brother's mate?" she asked bluntly.

Ana was slightly taken aback.Um. Well. Yes, I-I think.She stuttered.

"You think you want to be my brother's mate?" she asked, confused. She suddenly remembered what she had seen from outside the window. "Why were you looking at your stomach earlier?"

Ana started at the question.I don't know what you mean.

Careta's eyes narrowed. "You know exactly what I mean. You were looking at your stomach in the mirror." she stated sharply.

Ana bit her lip.Look, you can't tell him anything that I am about to say. Alright?Her eyes were pleading.

Careta studied her for a moment before finally nodding. "As long as it won't cause him any harm." she added.

Ana took a deep breath before continueing.I think I may be with child.She said.

Careta stood there in complete shock, her jaw literally dropped. "W-What? Is it Fenris'?" she asked.

Ana hesitated.I don't know.She said slowly.

"How do you not know?" Careta asked. "Were you with anyone else?"

She looked very uncomfortable.That's the thing. I don't know...She stopped as a sudden realisation struck her. Her face went pale and she thought she was going to be sick.

Careta noticed her face going pale and she quickly moved to the woman's side. She grabbed her hand and pulled her over to the bed in the room and pushed her to sit down. "What's wrong?" she asked. She may be rather harsh and blunt when she firsts meets someone, but she is truly caring when it comes to others.

Ana was shivering and tears began to gather in her eyes.

Careta frowned and moved to grab a tissue from the nightstand. "Here." she told the woman quietly, holding it out to her.

Ana gratefully accepted the tissue. Count Dracula's face was looming up behind her eyelids, cold and unatural. She wondered if she should just tell Fenris that the child was his. But he would be sure to notice the spawn of the devil's own creation.
