The boy stopped rubbing his neck and looked at Fenris . His face showed no expression. I don't know.

Fenris watched the boy closely for a long while before glancing at Ana. "It's your decision on what to do with him." He grumbles.

Ana stared at the boy. He had deep, dark eyes, the eyes of whom were hers or his fathers she did not know. This demonstration of her horrible life choices stood before her, with nowhere to go, and her motherly instincts kicked in. She took a deep breath and nodded confidently to Fenris, much more confidence in her voice than there was in her face.Take him in, Fenris. He is only a child, he has nowhere to go, and I'll be damned if he is left alone because his wretch of a father shirked his responsabilities.She said.

Fenris nodded in assent to Ana's words before speaking to the boy. "If you are to stay here then you must drop any alliance you may have with your father or his kind. The penalty for betrayal in my pack is death. No exceptions." He tells him sternly.

Ana threw a warning glance towards Fenris at his harsh words. Howver, the boy just shrugged. I make no promises. His eyes flickered sideways.My father is awake. He is angry. I'd better come inside before he catches my scent here. He said bleakly.

Fenris chose to ignore the warning look and growled at the boy's words. "If he comes into my territory he will be a deadman."

The boy almost looked like he was going to laugh at that but regained a straight face. He nodded and started to step inside of the house but bounced back.Invite me in.He said.

"Come in boy." Fenris growled. Barely keeping himself under control.

The boy stepped inside. He immediately flitted over to the corner and crouched down in the corner, staring at the people in the room with dark, calculating eyes.

Fenris watched the boy closely. A growl rumbling in the back of his throat. The very smell of a vampire nearly sent him into a growling fit.

The boy narrowed his eyes and stared right back at the taller man. Ana quickly stepped between them.We should give him aname.She said to Fenris.

Fenris' eyes never left the boy's as Ana spoke from her spot between them. "He's your son. It is your decision." He told her, his voice only softening slightly as he glanced at her.

Ana sighed.Mathew. I want to call him Mathew.She said.

Fenris nodded at the name. "Matthew it is."

Ashton hobbled down the stairs. The Change was hard on him and he was still recovering from the months of pain. Be was looking for Careta, who had been his bedside friend. It was unusual for him to get down the stairs with no support, but today felt like a good day.

Fenris looked up in surprise at the sight of Ashton coming down the stairs just as Careta came bursting through the door, a snarl on her lips. She had gone out to a little bakery a couple of the female convicts had started to get some of the bread that Ashton liked. The smell of a vampire had sent her rushing back to the house. When she saw Ashton standing on the stairs and the smell of a vampire so strong in the room she dropped the bag of bread and shifted into her white wolf form. She quickly raced up the stairs to keep him from coming down any further, fur bristling and a growl rumbling in get throat.

Ashton stopped and gave her a guilty grin.Sorry Car. I felt like I could do it.He knew his situation was not good. He found two more Grey hairs this morning, which didn't sound like a lot, but he wasn't supposed to age physically. A handful of shining silver hairs were sprinkled across his midnight black hair. His cheekbones stood out sharply. He looked up and saw the vampire boy in the corner. His lip lifted in a silent growl.

Careta growled uneasily and pushed gently at Ashton's legs. She wanted him as far as possible from the vampire boy.

Ashton turned and started to walk, when something exploded inside him. He threw himself over Careta and towards the vampire child, hands outstretched.

Careta acted quickly, shifting back to her human form in mid air as she leaped after Ashton. She wrapped her arms around his torso and spun their bodies so that when they landed, her body cushioned his fall.

Ashton struggled against her, trying to get towards the vampire child. Mathew hissed at him, backing further into the wall. When Ashton realized that neither Ana nor Febris seemed worried about the vampire, he stopped, breathing heavily. Sweat shone on his skin, as if he had run a marathon.

Careta slowly stood up, pulling Ashton up with her gently. She moved herself so that he could lean on her if he needed to. "You better have a goof reason for this." she snarled at Fenris with a glare towards the boy.

Ashton leaned against Careta slightly. Ana cleared her throat and gave careta a look.Remember what happened a few years ago, Careta?

Careta gave Ana an odd look as she thought back. She looked closely at the vampire boy and then suddenly back at Ana. "It's not possible!" She exclaimed.
