Careta yelped in shock when the woman fell to the ground. She quickly moved so that she fell against her white furred back to cushion the fall. She let out a whine and nuzzled her face. 'What's going on? What did he do?' she asked her worriedly.

Dracula chuckled.Come on, Careta. Think. That which is dead cannot make life.

Careta snarled when she heard her name coming from the Vampire's mouth. 'Then what?' she growled.

Ana started to get up again.She is miscarrying. Dracula explained with an annoyed huff.

Careta's eyes widened briefly at the Vampire's answer. She let out a worried whine and suddenly Shifted to her human form. "Easy, Ana. You don't want to get up. Just stay calm." she told the woman, trying to remember what to do in this situation. She had been around expecting Weres to know what to do during a birthing, but not what to do during a miscarriage. "Are you just going to stand there?" she snarled up at the Vampire. "This is your fault to begin with. You could at least help!" she spat.

Dracula laughed.Alas, I will not. She and her werewolf friend barged into my territory unarmed and unprotected. She deserves what she gets. He grinned, showing off sharp canines. Ana curled in on herself and whimpered.

Careta bared her own set of sharp teeth and growled. "This is exactly why your kind are monsters. You take what you want and leave another creature to clean up your mess. A bunch of spineless leeches. That's all you are and that's all you'll ever be." she snapped. She sat beside the woman and pulled her head into her lap. "Shh...you'll be alright.." she told the woman.

Dracula shrugged.What do I need with one woman when I have the whole of Transylvania? And my brides, of course.He added as an afterthought. Ana clutched at Careta desperatly.

Careta sneered at the Vampire in disgust. "Brides? A bunch of foul little ticks is more like it." she growled. She brushed Ana's hair out of her face and tried to give her as much comfort as possible.

Aleera appeared from a dark corner of the room. Her bright red hair and pale skin shone in the dim light. She sneered at Careta, showing perfectly white, sharp teeth.Foul ticks, are we?

Careta bared her teeth at the new Vampire. "Yes. A whole lot of ticks that it seems Weres just can't get out of their fur." she snarled in disgust. She had bent her own body slightly over Ana's, growling protectively.

Aleera sneered.You are nothing but a dog. A mutt.Ana cried out sharply.

Careta didn't let the comment anger her. "I may be a dog, but at least I'm not dependent on others. Without your precious blood you'd all wither away and die. You can't even produce your own pups." she growled. She winced at Ana's cry and looked down at the woman. "Is there anything I can do?" she asked her desperately. It was extremely rare that a Were would have a miscarriage and she had never been allowed to help with the few that had.

Aleera giggled and didn't bother to answer the comment. Ana jerked and blood started spreading around her. Aleera rolled hereyes at the question.Let me see her.She said.

Careta snarled in warning and she glared up at the Vampire. "And why should I let you anywhere near her?" she growled, all to aware of the spreading pool of blood.

Aleera smiled sweetly. She looked like a baby lion. Sweet, and would gladly rip your head off.Do you want your friend to die?

Careta looked uncertain as she glanced from the Vampire to Ana. "Why would you help her when Dracula would not?" she asked finally.

Aleera turned to look up at him.He is not a woman. I am.She said. Dracula had a very bored expresion.

Careta seemed torn between what to do. "Give me your word that you won't hurt her." she suddenly growled, but even her growl was desperate.

Ana gasped and turned pale white. Aleera crossed her arms.Do we really have time for that?She asked.

Careta looked down at Ana before moving away slightly. "Fine, but please don't hurt her." she whimpered. She could only imagine what her brother would do to her if Ana died. Flashes of her twin's death filled her mind as she looked down at the woman.

Aleera bent by Ana's side, angling her body so that Careta couldn't see what she was doing. Ana screamed severel times in rapid succession.

Careta snarled and was about to lunge at the Vampire at Ana's screams. "What are you doing to her?!" she shouted in alarm.

Aleera snarled at her in reply. Ana's screams gently died down as her shouts turned into whimpers. Aleera got up and stood back. The blood around Ana had spread. Next to her lay a tiny, pale white body. It was obviously dead.

Careta moved back to Ana's side and touched her face carefully before looking over at the tiny body. She nearly gagged at the smell of Vampire on the dead baby, but she couldn't help the feeling of sadness for the life lost. She also noticed the larger pool of blood. "Will she be alright? Is it over?" she asked the Vampire woman.
