Fenris's head snapped towards them at the word vampire. His teeth were bared and he was about to speak when the front door thumped open loudly. The sound of Anas high heeled boots came down the hall, each time the heel hit the floor it sounded like a gunshot. Ana smiled as she got closer and closer to the living room, eager to see her brother and Fenris.

The girl pulled herself away from Fenris with a growl at the sound of the front door opening. She listened to the heels hit the floor loudly before Shifting. She crouched down low to the floor in an aggressive display with her ears back and her lips pulled up in a snarl. Fenris was still trying to sort through all of her words when he caught sight of Ashton baring his teeth, causing him to growl and bare his own.

Ana made her way to the living room and walked in. She stopped suddenly when she saw the wolf crouching on the floor. Her eyes were wary and she took a few steps back.

Fenris spotted Ana and quickly moved to grab a handful of white fur before lifting the wolf up by her scruff. Careta growled and struggled for a moment before hanging loosely with a low growl rumbling in her throat.

Ana remained by the door.What is going on?

Fenris looked up at Ana. "Don't worry about her. She's all bark and no bite." he told her with a jerk of his hand that turned Careta's growl into a heated glare in his direction. "Ana this is Careta, Careta this is Ana." he introduced them.

She didn't take her dark eyes off the wolf.Who is she?

Fenris seemed to hesitate before replying. "She's my sister." he told her quietly, almost as if he didn't quite believe it himself.

Ana relaxed immediatly.Why are you holding your sister by the scruff?She asked.

"Because she's a real brat." Fenris answered without hesitating. Careta snarled at the comment and began to struggle again in his grip, this time more fiercely. He wasn't expecting her to have gotten so strong and she managed to slip free. The moment her paws touched the ground she raced towards Ana, Shifting only a couple of feet away. She began to circle the woman, sniffing the air around her.

Ana turned to keep her in her sight. Temptation to shift was inside her, but she tried to avoid shifting if possible. It gave her headaches.

Suddenly Careta stopped circling her and moved forward quickly, getting extremely close to her. She didn't say a word, but she bared her sharp, white teeth and met Ana's eyes with her own. Her entire body language screamed a challenge. The air around her almost static with her wolf instincts.

Ana bared her teeth and shifted almost silently, the amber eyes of her wold form glowering steadily at the competition in front of her.

Careta Shifted the moment Ana did and a growl rumbled from her chest. Fenris sighed and let out a sound that mixed between a groan and a growl. "Figures that she'd do this." he grumbled.

Ana flattened her ears against her head and crouched low to the ground, her eyes wide.

Careta bared her teeth aggressively and suddenly moved forward to pin Ana down with her paws on the other wolf's shoulders.

Ana struggled and snarled angrily. She tried to shove the wolf off by digging her back legs into Caretas abdomen.

Careta backed off with a sharp snap of her jaws that stopped an inch from biting Ana's muzzle. Careta had lived by instinct like some Weres chose to do, and she was currently challenging the first alpha female she had seen in a long time.

Ana got up quickly and crouched low, her ears back, inviting the other female to surrender.

Careta was about to lunge at the other Were when she was suddenly barreled over by a large, black furred body. Fenris brought his teeth down onto the back of her neck and applied enough pressure to keep her from moving, a deep growl rumbling from his chest.

Ana shifted back and stood against the wall.

Fenris bit down until Careta went limp before he released and Shifted back. He stood stiffly glaring at his sister. He was beyond furious. She let out a growl before Shifting also. "Don't you dare, ever attack my intended mate!" he snarled. Careta had the better sense to back away from the angry Alpha, sending Ana an apologetic glance at the news. She should have known with the scent of her brother already lingering around the woman that he wished her to be his mate. She wouldn't have thought that he would have taken a newly Changed human as his mate.

Ana just stood and watched her, her eyes calculating everything. Her fingers itched and her heart was racing. She remembered times like these only a year back, when she was fighting rogue werewolves and training to kill Dracula. She had a sudden urge to go back and finish the old vampire once and for all.

Fenris glared at his sister. "Go upstairs and stay in one of the rooms. Now!" he snapped. Careta huffed and Shifted before quickly scrambling up the stairs. She entered one of the empty rooms and jumped up on the bed, grumbling and growling in irritation. Fenris turned to Ana and moved towards her. "I'm sorry. I should have known she'd do something like that. She was exactly the same as a pup." he told her, his voice softening in apology.

Ana shook the thought out of her head.Dont worry about it.
