Silva was about to start shouting again when he heard a sudden movement behind him. He felt Senshi loosen his grip and when he looked behind him he saw a large black panther standing in his friends place. Even on the face of the animal he could see the betrayal Rome felt. He suddenly felt sick. Rome had heard everything.

China covered her mouth and fell to her knees, crystal tears running down her cheeks. Keltoh snarled at the panther. He crouched, ready to fight.

Rome padded around Senshi, Silva, and Thistle. His head was lowered and his tail dragged on the ground as he moved towards China. He stopped in front of her and lifted his head to meet her eyes, his own filled with love despite his feelings of betrayal. Even as a panther his eyes were still the same bright blue. He stepped closer and nuzzled her cheek.

China lifted her hand and was about to stroke his neck, when keltoh grabbed her from behind and gathered her in his arms. She made no effort to get out. She leaned into him, her eyes filled with confusion as she tried to understand what to do. Her love was being ripped in half.

Rome took a step back when China was pulled away and had to hold back a growl. He looked up at China and noticed the confusion in her eyes. He'd make her decision easier. He lowered his head and turned away before padding across the clearing. The moment he disappeared into the trees he took off at a run, his heavy paws barely making a sound. Where he was going he didn't know and he didn't care.

Senshi wanted to follow his master, but a gentle hand on his shoulder stopped him. Silva stood with his head low. He knew that Rome had given up on China so that she could be with Keltoh.

China, who was standing, dropped and covered her face with her hands, keltoh going with down with her and stroking her hair gently. She sobbed harshly as he held her, looking at Silva with uncontrollable disgust. He hated seeing her like this.

Senshi suddenly shifted and he was once again a huge stallion. He could feel everything Rome was feeling and it was becoming to much for him. He pranced, tossing his head back and forth. He stumbled and nearly went to his knees. The pain, betrayal, and heartbreak was flooding him. Not even the distance between him and his master weakened the connection of their minds and souls. The black horse reared up and let out a scream of pain, his sharp hooves lashing out. Silva tried to get near him, but had to jump out of the way when Senshi's hooves nearly came down on him. The only way he could weaken the connection between master and demon would be to put a spell on the brand, but he'd have to touch it first. Thistle raced out of the way of the stallion. There wasn't anything she could do to help and she didn't feel like getting hit and causing both her and her master pain.

China was sprawled on the ground, keltoh hovering protectivly over her, her sobs turning to cries of pain. Her delicate human form was not going to handle this. Her mind was in danger of snapping.

Silva heard China and cursed under his breath. "Go and help her. She may not love him, but Rome still loves her." he ordered, as he tried again to get closer to Senshi only to jump away again. Thistle shifted back to her human form so that she could be understood when she spoke. She raced over to China and knelt down beside her. She looked up at the man, forcing herself not to act aggressively. "She's losing herself. You need to get her attention on you. Get her mind off of anything else. Make her focus." she told him quickly, her voice soft but stern.

Keltoh took both of her forearms and held them on the ground. He stared in to her eyes.China, you need to focus. She tried to.turn her head away.Rome...She kept saying his name, kept looking for him. Keltoh looked at thistle. What do I do?

Thistle looked at China then back at Keltoh. Her ears twitched as she tried to think of what to do. "You need to go and find Rome. I can't leave China because of my master's orders, and he's to busy trying to get Senshi to calm down." she told him. "I'll look after her and I'll do my best to calm her down."

He nodded and kissed China's hair before flitting off to find Rome. China was gasping painfully, still calling for Rome.

Thistle shifted into her natural form and moved to stand beside China. She lowered her muzzle and nudged the woman's cheek gently, letting out a low whine. She laid down and pressed herself against China's side hoping her warm fur would give her some comfort.

Rome had stopped when his paws finally became to sore to continue running. He sat down panting, to overcome with pain and sadness to even check his surroundings for threats. He laid down and put his head on his large paws, not even shifting back into his human form.

Could rome read minds? He would have to. Keltoh screamed his name in his mind, each yell getting louder. China hissed and let out one horrible scream that could be heard in other countries. After the scream, her whole body went limp.

Rome jerked his head up when he heard his name and then suddenly heard a scream. His entire body went numb when he realized who's scream it was. His exhaustion left his body and adrenaline kicked in. He stood up and launched himself through the trees, running as fast as he could. He felt thorns and random stones dig painfully into his paws and draw blood, but it didn't slow his pace. He was getting closer and he finally burst out of the trees into the clearing. He immediately raced over to China's limp body and shifted back to his human form. He was to terrified to even notice the bleeding gashes and scratches on his hands. He brought his hands to her face and pushed her hair out of her eyes. "China?" he asked quietly, his voice shaky.

China's eyes flicked rapidly around, her hands tried to push herself up, but failed. Rome... Rome, where's Rome?! She said the words in a strangled whisper. Keltoh heard Rome go back and ran back as fast as he could.

Rome held China's face in his hands and tried to get her attention. "China, I'm right here." he told her. "I'm right here." he repeated. He was panicking. He knew he had to stop China from losing herself like she had before, but he wasn't sure how.

She laughed madly. Rome is a cat!Her eyes weren't in focus and were facing different directions. Keltoh skidded to a halt beside Rome.Oh... my god...

Rome jerked back in shock. "She's losing herself." he whispered. He quickly shifted into the form of a black panther, hoping it would help.

She suddenly jumped to her feet, teetering uncertainly before falling into keltoh's arms. She looked up at the clouds and laughed again. Rome... kitty...Keltoh looked at Rome with wide eyes.She's snapped.

Rome shifted back and started pacing. "What do we do?" he finally asked Keltoh, coming to a stop a few feet from the two vampires. Thistle let out a nervous whine and stood behind Rome.

Senshi had finally calmed down enough for Silva to put a spell on his brand that would help him relax. The only way a spell could be put on one of the demons is by touching their brand or mark. Physically someone could hurt a demon, but they can't place spells on them from a distance. It was a way of protecting the spellcastor's demons and the spellcastors.

She went quiet, then her lip curled and she hissed, trying to hit Keltoh. He held her arms firmly and pushed her to the ground.I have to take her where she'll be save.

(Time skip? 2 years maybe? Gotta idea.)

Rome felt a growl escape his throat when he saw Keltoh push her to the ground, but quickly stopped. He couldn't afford to have him as an enemy. "I can't leave this area. Will you find a way to contact me if anything happens?" he asked. It didn't matter to him where Keltoh was taking her, it only mattered that she would be safe.

Rome looked away and ran his hand through his hair before nodding his head. "Take her then." he said quietly, his heart feeling as though it were being torn in two.
