Faye smiled at the foals approaching her. She slowly put out her hands, palms up, in a friendly gesture.

The foals nickered and one brave filly closed the space and stretched out her nose to sniff Faye's hands.

Faye giggled as the filly sniffed her hand and softly touched the velvety muzzle of the young horse.

The filly snorted softly against Faye's hand, ears flicking forward curiously. The other foals moved closer, several within arms reach.

Faye closed her eyes and reached out to Silva. She started sending a mental image of where she was to him. She held her other hand out to the other foals.

Some of the foals moved closer and sniffed and nuzzled Faye's hands.

Silva was riding back through the woods trying to find where he had last seen Faye and the stallion. He had tried a tracing spell, but for some reason it wouldn't track down Faye's trail. He was just about to dismount went an image suddenly filled his mind. It took him a minute to realize it belonged to Faye.

Faye concentrated hard on the image of the world around her and sent it to Silva.

Silva gasped as he recognized where Faye was. She was with the Appoloosa's herd! He had followed the herd for a long time after a couple mares had been stolen from the ranch. The stallion had killed one of their stallions and one of their best geldings. He had seen the stallion kill several rivals and driven off every single young stallion that had so much as approached the herd. He was also Perce's sire. He desperately sent Faye an image of the aggressive stallion during one of his battles, warning her to get away as soon as she could.

Faye gasped as she got the image of the stallion. She pushed herself up off the ground and looked around for said stallion, then for Perce. She called Perce through her mind.

The foals startled slightly at her sudden movement, a couple of them going back to their mothers. Perce jerked his head up from where he grazed at Faye's call. He snorted and gave her a curious look, wondering what was wrong.

Faye sent Perce a picture of the stallion, asking him if he knew where he was.

Percent looked over the image in his head curiously and was just about to reply when a loud, angry whinny pierced the air. He barely had time to prepare himself before the huge black and white stallion barreled into his side.

Faye fell over sideways as the force of the stallion bashed into Perce. Winded, she started to get back up, wheezing slightly. She tried to send her panic to Silva, begging him to come fast before one of them got hurt. She gathered her magic and tried to hit the stallion with a small, but noticable, energy ball.

Perce managed to keep himself from falling just in time for the other stallion to rear up on him and be knocked slightly away by a ball of energy. The stallion spun towards Faye and let out a loud snort. He charged her with a crazed look in his eyes. Perce saw what was about to happen and quickly ran his full weight into the other horse's side as he went by, getting his attention again. The stallion turned on him and reared up, flashing his sharp, deadly hooves. Perce squealed as one clipped his shoulder before he reared up to fight back just as viciously.

Silva felt Faye's panic and urged his horse to go faster. He was getting closer when he heard the sounds of the fighting stallions. He quickly dismounted and ran the rest of the way to the meadow, not wanting another of his horses to get spooked and run off. He was nearly blindsided by a mare and a couple of frightened foals when he came through the trees and into the meadow. "Faye!" He shouted over the noise of the fighting.

Faye rushed backwards to avoid the stallions and yelled out in pain as she felt a sharp pain in her shoulder. She heard Silva and shouted his name.Silva! Over here!

Silva spotted Faye just as she yelled out in pain. He quickly made his way to her side before yanking her over to large tree at the edge of the meadow. "Climb! Quickly!" He shouted to her.

Perce and the stallion kicked and bit at each other, both trying to gain the upper hand. They were nearly an even match. Perce had youth and strength on his side, but the stallion had plenty of practice and knowledge on his side.

Faye shot up the tree like a squirrel, wincing at her bruised shoulder. She climbed as high as the tree would allow and perched there, curling her legs beneath her. She watched the horses below them fight, biting her lip in worry.

Silva quickly followed Faye. Once he was seated beside her he looked her straight in the eye. "You need to break off the physical bond between you." He told her quickly.

Fates eyebrows creased together in worry.How? How do I do that?She said.

"Find the bond in your mind that is causing you pain and block it with your magic." He told her gently.

The two stallions were starting to fight more violently. Both were bleeding from both biting and kicking.

As Faye's skin began to show up in cuts and bruises she closed her eyes and tried to find the bond that linked her to Perce. Once she found it, she pushed the limits of her abilities and closed the door on the physical link between her and Perce. She sat back, gasping, when she was done.I don't feel right without him there. I feel ... Naked, sort of.She said.

Silva sighed in relieve when the abuse Perce was taking stopped showing up on Faye's skin. "You can release the block once its all over, but not until then." He told her sternly.

The stallion was using his massive size and powerful kicks to wear out Perce. Perce's vicious bites and well aimed kicks were starting to slow but he had managed to inflict some major wounds on the older stallion. The stallion squealed when Perce kicked him in the front leg, but quickly spun and charged into his side, shoving him directly into a tree not far from Silva and Faye. Perce whinnied angrily and reared up, only to have the ends of his reins tangle in a sturdy tree branch without him knowing. As he came crashing back down to strike out at the stallion his head was jerked up by the entangled reins. His front hooves couldn't quite touch the ground so he was forced to stand fully on his back legs. The stallion quickly spotted the weakness and as Perce struggled and fought the branch desperately to free himself he started a fresh wave of strong kicks and bites. A good portion of the kicks laded squarely on his ribs and in his stomach. His thrashing front legs did barely any damage to the other horse.

Faye watched in terror as Perce was kicked and bitten.We have to reals him. Snap his reins!She told Silva, shaking his shoulder.

Silva nodded moving to break off one of the branches of the tree they were on. He quickly started casting, changing it from a branch to several throwing knives. He pulled back his arm and let two of them fly through the air. The knives cut through one and just nicked the other. Perce was able to jerk once hard and broke the rein free. He turned with a vengeance on the stallion. His body fueled by both rage and pain.

Faye relaxed somewhat and anxiously watched the two stallions fight.How long will they keep at it?She asked Silva.
