Silva looked down and watched the two horses. "It won't be to much longer at this rate." He told her as the older stallion started to stumble. Perce reared up over and over again, ramming his hooves against the stallion's back, neck, and sides. The stallion was barely able to fight back as Perce shoved and kicked at him.

Faye watched the horse battle the older stallion with a fair amount of awe.

The older stallion managed to land two more painful kicks to Perce's sides that were already in agony before finally going down. Perce was being led by instinct more than he ever had been before. He reared up and brought his hooves down over and over again on the fallen stallion. It wasn't long after that the stallion ceased moving. The vicious leader and Perce's father was dead.

Faye bit her lip. She hated to see any animal die, whether it hurt other animals or not. A thought suddenly crossed her mind as she stared at the huge body of the dead stallion.Wasn't he the leader?She asked Silva.

Silva looked down at the huge horse and frowned. "He was..." He muttered.

Perce reared up with a triumphant whinny, tossing his head and pawing at the empty air. He snorted and landed with a loud thud as he held his head high. A few of the older mares approached the dead stallion and lowered their heads briefly before looking up at Perce. They nickered gently before surrounding him with soft nudges and pushes.

Faye watched on as the mares surrounded Perce.Looks like Perce is the new leader.She said.But what's going to happen? Can't he stay with me?She tried not to show the hurt in her voice.

Silva looked at Faye and pulled her into a tight hug. "You'll need to release the block on your mental bond, but only if you are comfortable doing it. You might accidentally release the block on your physical bond and he's hurt pretty bad." He told her gently. "You'll need to speak with him."

Faye nodded and closed her eyes. She carefully unblocked the mental block, keeping a tight hold on the physical one.Perce.She thought, pishing the words out of her mind and into the horses.

Perce jerked his head at the sound of his name. He looked up into the tree where Faye and Silva were. He nickered softly before replying. 'Faye?'

The stallion looked from Faye to the horses around him. "This is our new herd." He told her as if it were obvious.

Faye sighed.I can't stay here, Perce.

Perce tilted his head to the side, confused. "Why not?" He asked.

I have to go back. Live with my parents. With Silva.Her fingers automatically intertwined with Silvas.I can't live here.

Perce nickered quietly. He looked around at the other horses before looking at Faye and silva. "Can they come with us?" He asked.

Silva held onto Faye's hand gently.

Faye turned to Silva.Perce wants the herd to come home.She said.

Silva's eyes widened briefly. "They haven't roamed that area for a long time now. That is unless the old stallion wanted more mares. It could potentially be both bad and good." He told her. "It could bring the horses away from some of the more dangerous predators in the forest but it could also possibly affect the horses at the stables. This is a massive herd after all."

Faye frowned.We have to do it. I can't be separated from Perce.

Silva sighed and nodded. "They can come but they'll have to stay within the edge of the forest. We can't have then corrupting some of the stabled horses. Percent can come an go as he likes." He told her.

Faye related the plan back to Perce and waited for his response.

Perce listened quietly before nodding. He turned to the other horses and spoke to them. The lead mare dipped her head and whinnied for the others to get ready to move.

Faye squeezed Silvas hand and jumped lightly down from the tree, landing without a sound.

Percent bickered and moved over to Faye. He looked up as Silva dropped from the tree and let out a loud whinny. A dapple grey mare trotted forward and dipped her head to the stallion. "Ghost? I can't believe it." Silva said in shock before moving forward. The mare nickered at the silver haired man and trotted to his side, nuzzling his face. "I thought that brute killed you!" He said shaking his head. Perce nickered and several more mares moved forward, a couple with foals following right behind them. "Every single one of them! Every single mare stolen from the ranch." Silva was ecstatic.

Faye smiled as she saw Silvas delight. There were a few mares here that she had known since she was a child, which wasn't very long.

Perce nickered happily at Faye's smile before turning and nodding his head to an older palomino mare who had stepped forward.'You'll need to ride Skylight for now.' He told Faye softly.
