Faye bit her lip, shut her eyes and sealed off the bond. She had learned a few new tricks on her travels. She looked at Silva.Is there time to go to him? She asked.

Silva heard her question and glanced at the two Demons. He noticed that Senshi was keeping his distance and knew he was trying to postpone the inevitable. "We should have just enough time." he told Faye.

Faye looked down.Silva... You're going to have to go. I can't...She said. Her side was hurting her more than it had in several weeks.

Silva's expression grew even more worried at Faye's words. He moved her over to the porch steps as gently as he could so that she could sit down. "Don't move. I'm going to get your mother and father." he told her. As quickly as he could without stumbling he took off into the house to find both Rome and China.

Faye was not looking forward to having to explain this whole thing to her parents.

China was in the kitchen, drinking a glass of what looked to be red wine.

Silva stumbled through the kitchen door and spotted China. His nose wrinkled at the glass in her hand, the smell making his stomach turn and his head hurt worse. "China, where's Rome?" he asked urgently, running a hand over his gaunt face to try and force back the nausea.

China started. She had not seen Silva in a long time. Silva? Are you okay? He's upstairs.. she said, a confused look on her face.

"I need you to get him outside as fast as possible. Perce has challenged Senshi." he told her, his voice a combination of urgency and a groan. "There is also something wrong with Faye. She's in a lot of pain." he added quickly before turning around and heading for the front door.

The tension between the two stallions was growing even stronger as they started to get closer to one another. It wouldn't be long before they began fighting.

China, wide eyed, ran to get Rome, shouting up the stairs for him to come down.Senshi and Perce are about to fight!

Rome raced down the steps at China's shouting. He all but flew out the front door, but skidded to a stop when he saw the two Demons. He had felt tension through his bond with Senshi, but the stallion's mind had been to full of thoughts for Rome to pick out what exactly was going on. He quickly broke off the physical bond between them just as Perce lunged towards Senshi, the large black stallion responding by rearing up and striking at the appaloosa stallion with his hooves.

Silva had made it out of the house just before Rome and had moved to Faye's side. He saw his friend come out of the house just seconds before the horses closed the distance between each other.

Faye gasped and covered her mouth as the horses lunged at each other.

The two Demons fought hard, filling the air with shrill whinnies, grunts, and the sound of hooves connecting with flesh. The fight for dominance was brutal, instinct filling the two males. Senshi was clearly the stronger male, but Perce was the faster of the two.

Silva gently touched the side of Faye's face that wasn't covered by her hair to try and get her attention. "Try not to watch." he told her just as Rome came over to them. "Faye? What's wrong?" he asked, worried.

Faye closed her eyes and looked away from the fight.Nothing's wrong, I'm fine. She said.

Rome and Silva both frowned at her answer. "Something is clearly wrong! You are in a lot of pain and it is not just from falling off of Perce." Silva argued. "Do not lie to me Faye." Rome told his daughter sternly. "Either tell me what has happened and what is ailing you or I will find out myself. That is not a threat. It is a promise."

Faye looked down and crossed her arms. They would not get anything out of her without a fight.

Rome frowned before turning to shout over his shoulder. "China!" he called out over the sound of the brutal fighting occurring not far from them. The two Demons didn't seem to be tiring despite both of them becoming bloodied and sore.

Silva went to lift Faye's face up, but gasped when his hand moved the hair away from the left side of her face. The once flawless skin was severely burned. "Faye?" he asked in surprise.

China's head whipped up at Rome's call. She was there in less than a minute.What's wrong?

Faye flinched away from Silva's gasp.I had a bit of a run-in... some vampire hunters. She tried to give a weak smile to lighten the mood.

Rome was just about to reply to China when he heard Faye's words. Instant fury filled his eyes, his entire body tense.

Silva was not much better. He grit his teeth and tried to suppress his anger. He knew what kind of damage a Hunter could inflict, after all he had done the same to plenty vampires in his past.

China's face set into pure anger. She knew what those vampire hunters could do to innocent vampires.

Faye looked away from everyone's fury. She knew they would be disappointed in her, knew she made a mistake by going off on her own.Im sorry. I shouldn't have gone off on my own. This would have never happened. she whispered, holding her arm, which was bleeding slightly from Senshis rather rough handling.

"No. I shouldn't have let you go off on your own. Out of all of us I should have been aware of all of the dangers you would face." Silva told her instantly, his voice full of guilt. Rome noticed her holding her arm. "We need you to tell us the extent of your injuries." he told her, softening his voice.

Faye let to of her arm instantly. I... I'll show Silva. Nobody else.She whispered. She did not want her parents to see the full extend of her injuries as she was scared of how they would react. At least she could gauge how bad it was by Silvas reaction. She had been to scared to even look in a mirror before now.

Rome had to stop himself from instantly arguing, but gave it some thought before nodding his agreement. Silva looked surprised, but was relieved that she was at least willing to show one of them. "Then let's get inside so I can see." he told her gently.

China looked confused but relented. She knew what it was like to feel ashamed of your mistakes.

Faye walked into the house, looking at the ground. She turned to Silva. Just... Don't be mad okay? She mumbled.

Rome watched his daughter and friend disappear into the house before turning towards the fight between the two Demons. He tried to push back his worries for his daughter in exchange for keeping an eye on the injuries the two stallions had inflicted upon each other. If this persisted neither would win.

Silva followed closely behind and stopped when she turned to him. "I could never be mad at you." he told her, reassuringly.

China watched the horses fight.I don't think I've ever seen them fight like this. She observed.

Faye removed her shirt in one quick motion, leaving on the white cami she had on underneath. She clenched her fists and closed her eyes as the bad burns all up her arm, side, neck and face were revealed, not wanting to see Silva's face when he saw. The burn on her arm was bleeding slightly. Her lack of blood had left her collerbones clearly defined, and hollowed her cheeks. Silva was not the only one who had suffered from their time apart.
