She shook her head. 'No." she breathed. "He's coming back. I know it. He has to." she said, starting to panic.

"Star,Moonlight isn't coming back,I'll have to fight him off anyways." He frowned and trotted towards the mountains.'Comon if you want to see yuor mum again!"

She started sobbing. "no. You'll see. He's coming back!" Lady Luck galloped through the dunes, hearing her daughters cries. She came up to her, gently nuzzling her shoulder. 'What is it?"

Starlight kept sobbing, and Lady Luck sent a hopeless glance at Shaton. 'What's wrong?"

She sighed. "It doesn't matter much, hun. He had to've left. Either that, or he would've been driven out. There can only be one stallion in a herd, and this is Shatons herd." Starlight was quiet, but tears streaked her cheks. "Then what about me? Why am I here? I'm not a stallion, but I'm your daughter. I can't bear your foals." she looked at Shaton, flicking her ears back.

She flicked her ears back. "So i'm stuck until you find someone you like, and send me off with them? I'd rather not." Lady Luck sighed as Starlight bolted off, down the meadows, the direction of the thinnest part of the river, the part Moonlight had crossed. "She's going." she said, turing away.

He frowned and nuzzled Lucky,"Comon,let's stay here today and then travel to the mountains tomarrow unless you would like to stay here..."

She shrugged. "I don't care. As long as we're still in our territory..." she said, flicking her tail. She'd be able to explore more, and she didn't mind having a longer way to the meadows. How else would she get her exercise?

He nuzzled her into the cave,laying down he waited for Lucky to come.

She lay at his side, sighing. She dropped her head upon his shoulder, and closed her eyes.

He clambered up after the long night. He felt like stretching his limbs. Trotting outside his hooves' pounded out the noise of the ocean. Full speed back he ran into the water,soaking himself.

(fun... not twins this time though...)

Lady Luck yawned, and then stood. She walked outside into the sand, looking around at the beach, and their safe, warm den one last tme. Oh well. She'd probably be back at the beach in less than a weeks time, and she was sure she'd sleep in that cave a few times atleast still.

He trotted towards her nudging her stomach.

She flicked her ears, and blinked, recognizing the familiar sensation. She was newly pregnant again. She flicked her tail at his chest, snorting, sending a fine mist into the morning air.
