Careta gave her a small smile. "Don't apologize. You didn't do anything wrong. I'm just glad your okay." she told her.

Ana gave a small laugh at that. I have done everything wrong.

"You helped my brother and my pack." Careta responded instantly. "That was far from doing anything wrong."

Ana sniffed. Doing something right doesn't cancel something wrong.

"And looking into the past will only make everyone miserable." Careta retorted gently.

Ana gave her a small smile. You're right.

Careta grinned slightly before frowning. "Should we head back to Fenris' home?" she asked.

Ana nodded. I'm going to tell him what happened.

The white-haired girl raised her eyebrows in surprise at Ana's words. "You don't have to. It's not like I'll tell him." she told her.

Ana shrugged. I have to tell him the truth. He'll find out anyway.

Careta nodded finally. "Alright...It's your choice." she said with a shrug. "He'll understand. He always does." she added softly.

Ana nodded and rubbed at her eyes.

Careta had been about to start walking when she noticed Ana rubbing her eyes. "Are you alright?" she asked.

Anas mouth twitched but she nodded. I just need to go home.

Careta nodded before Shifting. She stretched and shook out her fur before trotting in the direction of the town, looking over her shoulder to see if Ana was following.

Ana followed close behind.

It wasn't long before Careta emerged from the trees that bordered the town and sat to wait on Ana.

Ana followed quietly.

Once Ana reached her side Careta led the way back to the large house at the center of town. She paused only a moment at the door before it was yanked open in front of her. Fenris stood on the other side with a panicked look on his face. The moment he saw Ana he raced forward and wrapped his arms around her, lifting her up into a tight hug. "I smelled a Vampire..." he murmured against her hair before his nose wrinkled at the smell of it. "What happened? Did they hurt you?" he asked hurriedly as he set her back on the ground. Careta growled shortly before stalking into the house. She wasn't going to even attempt talking to someone who could care less whether she disappeared or not. She sighed and sniffed the air before tracking down the other male in the house, curious about his part in all of this.

Ana gripped Fenris as tight as she could and buried her face in his shoulder.

Fenris wrapped his arms around her again but not as tightly. He pulled her back into the house gently before smoothing back her hair. "Ana? What's wrong?" he asked softly.

Careta sniffed around the bottom floor of the house trying to find Ashton's scent.

Ana trembled against him. I need to tell you something. She whispered, her voice breaking.

Ashton was perched up on the window seat.

Fenris frowned when he heard her voice break as she spoke. He rubbed her back gently. "What is it?" he asked quietly, his voice worried.

Careta spotted the man and silently moved towards him. She sat down a couple of feet away and watched him quietly.

Ana was breathing hard by now, her palms sticky with fear. I just had a miscarriage. She blurted out, then covered her mouth, eyes wide.

Ashton didn't move a muscle or even blink. Can I help you? He sighed.

Fenris' eyes widened in surprise, but he wrapped his arms tightly around her. He held her against his chest and rocked her back and forth. "It's alright..." he whispered quietly. "Do you feel physically okay?" he asked softly.

Careta tilted her head like a dog listening to something when he spoke before Shifting. "What are you doing?" she asked quietly, sitting cross legged on the floor.
