Micah looked curiously at the stallion. He saw the horse's wing markings and looked up at the sky when the horse did. "Angel? A little girly isn't it?" he asked, a teasing grin on his lips.

Engel nodded, and shook his head. He tried to tell him he was close, but wasn't sure how. He snorted in frustration, and walked in a circle. Maybe he could draw? He took his hoof and scratched a crude E in the ground. He bobbed his head and stomped the earth next to the letter.

Rome watched the horse carefully. He looked down when the horse stomped the ground and finally recognized an E in the dirt. "Engel?" he asked.

Engel have an excited whinny. Yes! He understood! Engel gave a nod, his white/grey mane flooping on his neck. He nudged the boy's face, and gave a horsey smile. He walked ahead of the boy abit, wanting to get to their destination. He wanted know what this "camp" was. He wanted to get there, because it would lead him closer to this thing called a "stable". He snorted, and slowed his pace so he walked beside the...his...human.

Micah laughed and started walking in the direction of the stables. He patted Engel's neck before leading the way along the line of trees. His map had shown that the forest stopped just before the stables and he planned on making camp just inside the tree line.

Engel snorted, and followed along behind his human. He noticed the map, and chomped on a corner. The paper tasted funny, and when he tried to get it off his tongue, it add become stuck to it. So, he walked behind Micah with his tongue lolling out, the piece of paper hanging off the end.

Micah snatched the map out of the way and was about to scold Engel when he noticed the paper stuck on his tongue. "Serves you right." he couldn't help but laugh. The stallion hadn't taken much off the map so he just kept walking, shoving the map into his bag.

Engel narrowed his eyes. He licked the back of the boy's head, leaving the paper stuck to his hair. He snorted, and kept walking, like he hadn't done anything. He was just an adorable, kindly little angel that was perfect in every way.

Micah nearly tripped over his own feet when his hat was knocked down over his eyes as Engel licked the back of his head. He grumbled under his breath and went to wipe his hand over his hair and felt something stick to his hand. He glared down at the piece of the map that was stuck to his palm. He pulled it off and threw it on the ground. "You're gonna be a real pain in the you know where aren't ya?" he asked the horse as he pushed his hat back up, trying to cover a small grin.

Engel snorted, and gave a horsey smile. He snorted, and bobbed his head. He sped up so he walked beside Micah. He wished they could get the the camp already. He was eager to explore. He looked at the boy, and nickered, as if trying to start conversation to pass more time. He realized he wasn't shaky anymore. Yay! He snorted, and trotted in a circle to show Micah. He matched his pace with Micah's again, feeling kind of proud of himself.

Micah laughed as the stallion trotted around him. "You sure seem to be feeling better." he said, relieved. Seeing the stallion so shakey had had him worried. He rubbed Engel's neck when he matched his pace again and grinned. "Maybe I'll be able to ride you sooner rather then later if you'll let me." he said.

Engel's ears perked. Ride? He knew what that was. Finally a human term he actually understood. He most certainly wouldn't mind being ridden by Micah. He was his favorite human, even though he was the only one he'd ever met in person. Or...was it horsen? He didn't know. He slowed to a stop, and lowered himself to the ground, hoping the boy coud take a hint. (Sorry for the super late post. I've been busy :/)

Micah looked over his shoulder when the stallion stopped and his expression turned to one of concern when the horse went to the ground. He stopped and walked back to Engel's side. "Are you alright? You aren't getting shaky again are you?" he asked the horse worriedly.

Engel shook his head. He felt absolutely fine. He nickered, and pointed towards his back with his muzzle. He looked back at Micah, and gave a horsey smile. Maybe then he'd understand. He kind of wished there was someway for them to communicate in an better way. Then things would be much easier when Engel needed to tell his boy something.

Micah's eyes widened when he realized what the horse was trying to tell him. "Are you sure?" he asked even as he moved his bag to sling it across his back so that it would be out of the way.

Engel, a bit excited, snorted and bobbed his head. He stared hard at his boy, and happy gleam dancing around in his eyes. (Bleh. Short.)

Micah moved to Engel's side and swung a leg lightly over the horse's back before settling down just behind the withers. He patted the stallion's neck and clenched his sides with his knees, ready for him to stand up.

Engel lifted himself, a bit surprised at the new weight on his back. It didn't hurt him, nor was it uncomfortable, just... odd. He snorted, and looked back at Micah, before walking in the direction they'd been walking in for while now. He wondered how long it ws going to take before they got to wherever they were going.

Micah's eyes were wide as Engel started walking. He was stunned. Never had he even believed that he would have a horse of his own. He understood that if Engel wanted to leave he would not stop him, but it didn't matter to him. He reached forward and gripped some of the stallion's mane in his hands, and kept the same pressure with his knees. A sudden thought came to him. "Wanna see how fast we can go?" he asked the horse. "All we have to do is stop when the trees do so that we can set up camp." he added.

Engel's ears pricked up. He recognized the word "fast" He pranced excitedly, giving a loud snort, as if asking permission to gallop. He looked back to look at Micah, then looked forwards again. He could tell his boy was also in thought, but he could also sense some excitement, which got him ramped up even more.

Micah couldn't help, but smile at the stallion's excitement. He gripped his mane even tighter as he leaned forward. He took a deep breath before nudging Engel's sides, giving the horse permission to take off.

Engel took a breath. He wasn't sure why Micah was squeezing him, but it must've meant go. He did a little half rear, before rocketing forward like he'd been shot from a cannon. His wing marking glowed as he galloped faster, and faster, and soon he could barely see where he was headed. His breathing had started to become labored, but that soon went away, and it was as if he didn't even need to breathe. He was overjoyed that he'd been allowed to run, to stretch is legs after such a long time.

Micah gasped when Engel took off and had to fight back the urge to lean forward and wrap him arms around the stallions neck. He kept his knees tight on Engel's sides as the horse sped up until everything around them became a blur.

Engel gave a whinny of happiness, and fought the urge to speed up even more. He didn't want to take the risk of his boy flying from his back. He looked down at his marking, which was glowing brilliantly. It had begun to worry him a little, as this was the first time it had ever done this.

Micah's knuckles were white from where he clenched the mane in his fists. He ducked his head down to keep the air out of his face for a moment to catch his breath and noticed the markings. His eyes widened and he accidentally pulled back on the stallion's mane.
