Raven's hackles rose as her tail twitched nervously. She hopped nothing would happen, but she was prepared to act if something did.

Sweeney snarled and darted towards the house. Johanna screamed and ran after him.

Raven let out a sharp hiss and took off towards the house. She reached it before Sweeney or Johanna and she quickly leaped through an open window. She let out a loud yowl, trying to warn Anthony. She stood in the hallway where the rooms were and waited for Sweeney to arrive.

Anthony heard the cat and started for the door, but froze when he heard Sweeney flinging the front door open.

Raven yowled once more, but almost as if she were in pain and then suddenly she was over three times her normal size. A sleek black panther was crouched in the hallway. The only resemblance to Raven was the bright green eyes that were still filled with their usual intelligence but were now also filled with a predatory look.

Sweeney had gone blind with fury. He slammed straight into her.

Raven snarled and stumbled back a step before she lunged forward. She kept her claws sheathed, but that didn't stop her from tackling him.

Sweeney went down with a thump and growled low in his chest. He tried to get out from under the cat, all the struggling enraging him more and more with each fight.

Raven snarled and snapped her jaws together just above his face. "Calm down, Sweeney!" she growled, her green eyes flashing.

He suddenly went very quiet, holding one hand behind his back, his razor contained between his fingers.You might want to get off me.

"I'll get off once you calm down. Right now you are a threat to both Rosetta and your boys. Do you want to hurt them?" she growled. Her large paws planted firmly on his shoulders.

Sweeney slammed the razor into her furry chest and pushed up at the same time.

Raven's bright green eyes widened and she let out an agonized yowl as she reared backwards from the pain. She staggered backwards and collapsed onto her side, blood pouring from the wound. She shuddered as the pain quickly increased. She could tell it had missed any of her vital organs or arteries, but she was still bleeding heavily. "D-Don't do this S-Sweeney..." she nearly begged him, her voice trembling.

Sweeney pushed past her and started trying to get past the door.

Rosetta woke up with a jolt when she heard the yowl and sat up quickly. Logan and Alexander started screaming at the sound of pain. "What's going on?" Rosetta asked, instantly awake.

Sweeney stopped struggling at the sound of her voice. He slid down the wall and dropped on the floor in a dead faint.

Rosetta got off of the bed and ran to the door. She threw it open and ran out into the hallway. She screamed when she saw the huge panther laying in a growing puddle of blood and then she saw Sweeney. She grabbed him and dragged him into an empty room, locking the door behind them. She knew Anthony could take care of the twins. "Sweeney?" she asked frantically, shaking his shoulder gently with her good arm.

He stayed still. A million thoughts were racking his brain. Why would Johanna do this? Why would Anthony do this? Did Rosetta know? Why was he not told? Did she not trust him enough?

Rosetta was panicking. She moved her good hand up to Sweeney's face, tears pouring down her own. "Sweeney please..." she sobbed. She was afraid the panther might have hurt him internally since she could not see any wounds on his skin.

He shifted and slowly opened his eyes.

Rosetta gasped when he finally opened his eyes. She suddenly fell forward and wrapped her arms around, burying her face in his chest. Her entire body shook with her sobs of relief. She had been terrified of losing him. Her only thought was of what would happen to their sons if he died. They wouldn't have known their father.

He raised his eyebrows.What's wrong?

"I-I thought-" Rosetta broke off with a sob and sat up. "I-I thought the p-panther killed you." she cried, touching his cheek with her hand.

Raven lay on the floor, whimpering from the pain. He normal healing abilities were having trouble due to the continuous blood flow. The wound wasn't closing up right. She finally struggled to her paws and moved towards the room where Anthony was with the twins, trying not to slip in her own blood. She collapsed in front of the door in an attempt to offer a little more protection not that there was much she could do as she continued to grow weaker. She suddenly looked back at the door. Wondering where Johanna was.

The panther?

Anthony opened The door. Johanna had climbed through The window and joined him. He gasped when he saw the blood.

Rosetta looked at Sweeney, confused. "Did you hit your head? How can you not remember? It was huge! All that blood..." she trailed off with a shudder. "Did you stab it?" she asked.

Raven had been leaning on the door and when Anthony opened it she fell sideways, landing heavily on the ground. She let out a small mewl, her large body slumped on the ground.
