She nodded.

Sweeney was pacing under a large tree, his thoughts a jumble. He didn't know what to do. Finally, he turned to start his way home.

Rosetta laid in bed, moaning as she wrapped her arms around her stomach. The pain wouldn't leave.

Hw opened the door quietly and shut it again, walking into the bedroom unheard. He sat on the edge of the bed behind Rosetta and stroked his hand down her body.

Rosetta's body was shaking from the pain and she gasped when she felt Sweeney touch her. "S-Sweeney?" she asked, voice barely a whisper. "It...It hurts."

He frowned and went over to her side, kneeling on the floor to look at her.What hurts? Are you alright?

Rosetta shook her head, tears blurring her vision. "M-My stomach...It hurts..." she whispered, wincing as the pain spiked.

He stroked the tears away.I'll get a doctor. Don't move.

(I'm not sure how much I'll be on. I've had a death in the family.)

Rosetta nodded, wrapping her arms around her stomach tightly as the pain spiked again.

Sweeney half ran, half walked down the street. He swiveled his head left and right until he saw a doctor's building. He let himself in and called out.Hello?

(You want to be doctor?)

(Sure and Thanks. I'll miss my mom, but I guess God needed her more.)

An older man walked out of a back room, his coat and hat on. He had been getting ready to head back home when he heard someone in the front of the office. "Hello Sir. Is there anything I can help you with?" he asked.

(I'm really sorry... a mom's a hard thing thing to lose but it's great that you're thinking positively :-D)

Yes, yes, there is, my wife is pregnant and she's in pain, you have to come!Sweeney was already out the door. He silently prayed that Rosetta would hold up until he got home.

The doctor quickly grabbed his bag off the floor and followed Sweeney out of the door.

Sweeney ran ahead as fast as he could manage without the doctor losing sight of him.

The doctor ran after Sweeney as fast as he could. By the time they reached the house the short, old man was out of breath.

Sweeney opened the door and all but sprinted inside. He beckoned the doctor to follow.

The doctor hurriedly followed Sweeney into the house. He jumped as he heard a cry of pain come from the back of the house. He hurried to the room where Rosetta was laying, curled into a ball, the bed sheets tangled around her. He motioned for Sweeney to stay outside the room and shut the door before going to Rosetta's side.

~A couple hours later~

The doctor stepped out of the room using a cloth to wipe the sweat off of his face. He had a tired, but relieved look on his face.

Sweeney turned and strode quickly to the doctor from where he'd been pacing in front of the window. His face was slightly terrified.Is she okay?

The doctor looked tiredly at Sweeney and nodded. "She will be okay. She was lucky you came and got help when you did or else she might have lost the baby. The only thing that could have caused it would have been stress or to much exertion too early in the pregnancy. I advise plenty of bed rest and to keep from stressing out." he told him.

His face was devastated. He knew that he had caused it.Thank you. Thank you so much.He gripped the doctors hand in his own cold fingers.

The doctor shook his head with a small chuckle. "My pleasure, Mr. Todd. I wish you both luck with the child." he told him as he shook his hand. "Well if you will excuse me, I must be going. I've got my own family to get back to." he said with a smile. He walked out the door and closed it behind him.

He nodded and smiled back. He then opened the door to their room, quietly in case Rosetta was asleep.

Rosetta looked up from where she laid on the bed as the door opened. Tears fell down her pale, sweaty face when she saw Sweeney. "I-I'm so s-sorry Sweeney..." she whispered.

He rushed over and took her hand in his,stroking his pale fingers softly down her cheek.Don't make me feel worse by believing that you have something to apologize for.

Rosetta shook her head weakly. "I...I almost lost our c-child..." she whimpered.

His eyes flared with anger at himself.No, I nearly lost our child. I shouldn't have snapped at you. I'm sorry.
