Without even thinking Rosetta wrapped her arm around Johanna's shoulder's, pulling her against her side.

Sweeney was talking in hushed tones to Micah.Just let us stay here for a little while. My daughter and Rosetta need a place to stay. We have nowhere else. The bigger man sighed.I suppose a little while... what's happened to you, Benjamin? Where's Lucy? Sweeney banged his fist on the table.Don't CALL me that, and never say that NAME around me AGAIN!He shouted.

Rosetta flinched when Sweeney banged his fist on the table, her arm tightening around Johanna. She glanced between the big man and Sweeney, nervous.

They stared at each other for a long time. Finally, Micah nodded.I guess I owe it to you.

Rosetta looked at Micah and then at Sweeney, wondering what was going to happen next.

Sweeney turned and held his hand's out, like the gentleman he was.

Rosetta glanced at Micah before moving towards Sweeney, keeping her arm around Johanna.

Johanna moved with Rosetta as if the two were somehow linked. She put her hand in Sweeney's, pale against pale and white against white.

Rosetta watched the girl grab her father's hand and a small smile pulled at her lips. She let go of Johanna and moved to stand beside Sweeney, but she didn't touch him. She could easily remember their kiss, but she wasn't sure if that was just a one time thing now that he had Johanna with him again.

He put his arm gently around her waist, pulling her against him.

Rosetta's eyes widened slightly when she felt Sweeney pull her against him. She quickly hid her surprise and leaned against him.

He lead them upstairs and into a small room with a bedroom and a bathroom. The walls were blue and the floor was wood. Back at the pie shop, Mrs Lovett sharpened her knife. She knew. And Rosetta had better say her prayers.

Rosetta looked around the room and noticed the bathroom. "How about we go get cleaned up a little?" she asked Johanna.

Johanna nodded and followed Rossetta. Mrs Lovett was striding quietly towards the shop that they were staying in.

(Wow...She's a lot older than I thought she was.)

Rosetta walked into the bathroom and turned on the water. She bent over and splashed cool water on her face, washing away the dirt on her hands from when she had been thrown to the ground by the men. She rubbed at a bruise on her cheek from where one of them had hit her.

Mrs Lovett started walking up the stairs. Micah was lying in a corner.

Rosetta felt a familiar aurora and looked towards the door. "Mrs. Lovett?" she whispered, confused. She left Johanna in the bathroom and walked towards the door, not even glancing towards Sweeney.

She stood at the door. She had a knife in her hand, and it was stained with Micahs blood, as was her clothes and face. She clamped her hand over Rosettas mouth and dragged her out, slamming the door.

The moment Rosetta saw the blood and the knife she tried to scream but it was muffled by Mrs. Lovett's hand. Her thoughts instantly went to who the blood must belong to, and she let out another muffled scream as she thought of Micah. She started to struggle against Mrs. Lovett as she thought of Sweeney and Johanna.

Mrs Lovett threw her down in the corner.Trying to steal mg man are we?She jumped forward and quickly slashed Rossettas shoulder.

Rosetta screamed in pain as Mrs. Lovett slashed her shoulder. She slumped against the wall behind her, holding her shoulder as blood started to flow between her fingers. She looked at her shoulder before suddenly glaring up at Mrs. Lovett. "He never loved you." she spat.

She made an irritated scream and slashed at her face.

Rosetta felt the knife slide along her cheek and blood drip from the cut. She slumped further against the wall, pain filling her shoulder and cheek. She suddenly thought of Johanna and what Mrs. Lovett might do to the girl if she got past the door. She suddenly struggled to her feet. The moment she was standing she screamed and lunged at the woman, hurtling both of them down the stairs.

She fell and panicked and lunged her knife at whatever she could. She felt it slide into something.

Rosetta screamed as she felt the knife go through her corset and pierce her side. She was lucky it hadn't hit anything vital, but it was going to bleed heavily when it was pulled out. She cried out as she felt them land at the bottom of the stairs and laid there, dazed and in agony.
