She pulled the knife out and dropped it, slumping on the ground. The fall had broken her chestbone. She shivered as she began to find it hard to move.

Rosetta lifted her self up and stood leaning against a wall. She saw the knife and grabbed it so that Mrs. Lovett couldn't. She stood there looking from the knife then to Mrs. Lovett. She knew she couldn't kill her.

Her raspy breathing was the only sound in the shop.Take good care of him... And then she knew no more.

Rosetta looked at Mrs. Lovett in shock. She suddenly collapsed on to the ground sobbing. "Two people....I've killed two people." she sobbed, ignoring the heavily bleeding painful gashes.

Sweeney had opened the door when He heard Rosetta sobbing. He went to comfortable her, and then He saw her. He almost flew down the stairs and grabbed her shoulders, the only place He could see not hurt.Rosetta, are you okay? What happened?

Rosetta cried out when Sweeney grabbed her shoulders. The movement sent pain through the gash that streched from her collar bone to the top of her shoulder. She looked up at Sweeney and suddenly threw herself at him, wrapping her arms around his waist and pressing her face against his chest. She ignored the pain and blood.

He lifted his hand and looked at it, surprised to see it covered in blood. He gasped.Who attacked you? He growled

Rosetta lifted her head and looked over at Mrs. Lovett's body before burying her head back in Sweeney's chest. She suddenly remembered something and jerked back. "Micah!" she gasped, wincing in pain from the gash along her cheek. She tried to stand up, but collapsed back onto the ground holding her hand over the bloody stab wound in her side.

He glanced at the body before looking back at her.Micah? He stepped back, but rushed forward again when she fell. He knelt on the ground beside her, afraid to touch her, feeling utterly useless.

Rosetta tried to breath through teeth clenched with pain. "I think Mrs. Lovett hurt him...I think it was his blood on her knife when she came up the stairs." she gasped.

Rosetta... I am so sorry... I can't even... He choked on his words. He bit his lip.Can you walk ?

Rosetta looked up at Sweeney, finally meeting his eyes. Her's were filled with pain and they were starting to dim as she started to feel dizzy from blood lose. "I-I'm fine...Is Micah a-alive?" she gasped. The deep gashes on her shoulder and cheek were bleeding, but her side where Mrs. Lovett had stabbed her was pouring blood onto the floor. The knife had missed any vital spots, but the wounds were still deep.

We'll deal with Micah in a moment. Right now I need to get you upstairs and in bed. This might hurt. He scooped her up, careful not to touch anything, and quickly got up the stairs and into the room. He put her down on a bed and started to look at her wounds.

Rosetta whimpered as Sweeney lifted her and then carried her up the stairs. When he laid her on the bed she gripped her side, where her corset was soaked in blood. She was starting to feel numb.

He ran to the kitchen and grabbed a cloth, then ran back and pressed it against her side, it would hurt but she was going to bleed out.

Rosetta cried out when Sweeney pressed the cloth against her side, tears flowing heavily from her eyes. She glanced around the room wondering where Johanna had gone. She looked up at Sweeney. "I-I'm...sorry." she told him, her voice coming in gasps.

Johanna sat vigorously cleaning a window. Sweeney pushed her hair back from her face and placed his hand on her arm, wherever He couldn't see blood.Please don't apologize when I let you down, please don't!

Rosetta looked up into Sweeney's eyes and despite herself, love filled hers for the man. She shook her head as her vision started to fade. "I-I killed someone...again." she whimpered, as she finally passed out from bloodlose.

He tried to wake her up and then ripped a piece of material from his jacket and tied it around her arm really tight and around her ribs as a tourniquet. He kissed her forehead and went into the kitchen to see if he could find anything to help her. When he couldn't find anything He smashed a dish in frustration and cut his fingers.

Rosetta laid unconsious on the bed. The blood had finally stopped flowing and now there were only bloody gashes left on her cheek and shoulder. The blood on her corset was drying and the stab wound was only dripping blood. She had lost a lot of blood, but the wounds wouldn't kill her as long as they didn't get infected.

He drew up a chair and sat down to watch her. He noticed that the blood had tried and a quick look of relief came over his face. Johanna came and stood beside him. They were both very good at staying still and paying attention.

Rosetta started dreaming as she laid there on the bed, her body trying to regain some of its old strength. Memories of her childhood flashed through her mind. Her parents and friends creating a peaceful dream. But the dream quickly turned into a nightmare as her short engagement replayed in her head. Her body was tense until the nightmare passed and images of Sweeney started to flow through her thoughts. She visibly relaxed, and a small smile crossed her sleeping face.

He stroked her cheek.with the back of his hand gently.

Rosetta felt a touch on her cheek that wasn't injured. She managed to open her eyes a little to see Sweeney. She gave him a small smile before passing out again.

He drew the blinds down and wandered into the bedroom to stand at the window.
