Silva saw the tears and pulled Faye into his arms. "I'm sure he didn't want to lie to you. He was probably just trying to protect you. There are people who would try their hardest to harm you if they knew about you." he told her gently.

Thistle padded over and walked behind Faye, pressing her side against the girl's legs. Her ears twitched as she thought she heard a sound upstairs, but ignored it.

She turned into him, trying to hold her tears back.What? What's so special about me?

Keltoh finished and jumped silently out the window. China tugged at Rome.Let's go pack up.

Silva stroked her hair and sighed. "You are the only child that was ever born between the vampires and spellcastors. The two species have been enemies for longer than anyone can remember." he said quietly. "Your mother is a vampire and your father is a pure-blooded spellcastor with a little of your mother's blood. You are a mix between the two."

Rome nodded and heard voices coming from the living room of the ranch house. "I think Silva and Faye are in the front of the house. Do you want to go see them?" he asked.

She looked up at him and grinned slightly.I can do magic? She kept her arms softly around him.

I don't think Faye would like it if we left... maybe we should just sneek in and then leave. We won't be long.

Silva couldn't help a small smile. "Of course. Why do you think you could freeze those horses in the meadow?" he asked.

Rome nodded and quietly opened the back door and held it open for China.

She smiled, her eyes disbelieving.I thought all vampires could do that. I have magic!She clapped her hands with an excited squeal and threw her arms around Silva's neck.

China slid quietly up the stairs and into her and Rome's bedroom. She walked in, smelled something in the air, stopped and then dropped.

Silva's eyes widened in surprise at Faye's reaction and then his face broke out in a huge grin. "I take it you aren't to angry about being a spellcastor then?" he asked laughing.

Rome heard his daughter's excited squeal and couldn't help a small smile as he headed up the stairs. He didn't know what Silva had done, but he was glad his daughter was happy. He paused as he headed upstairs. He thought he heard something hit the floor in his and China's room. He changed into a panther and leaped up the rest of the stairs, a silent snarl showing his teeth. The moment he saw China on the ground he raced forward to her side. He was about to let out a roar to alert Silva and Faye when a strong scent filled his nose. He collapsed onto the ground beside China. He let out a saft growl before losing conciousness.

Faye shook her head, still smiling for Britain.Why would I be? She suddenly frowned.Um... Silva? Why... Why is your heartbeat louder? She could hear a loud thrumming sound from Silva's chest. She had a sudden visualization of his blood dripping... hot and salty... she stopped, shaking her head. What was wrong with her? She placed her fingers over the pulse in his neck, purely from instinct. She was coming of age. She was becoming a vampire.

A dark figure swooped in on China and Rome and then disappeared along with them.
(And now for the room..)
They were in a large, white room. The walls were bare and The floor was empty. China lay curled up in the corner, awake, but obviously in pain.

Silva shrugged. "Just a minute ago you were upset that your father kept it from you." he said simply. At Faye's next words he instantly took a step back when she touched his neck. "I was hoping this wouldn't happen yet." he muttered. "You're becoming of age for a vampire." he told her.

Rome growled softly as he woke up. He had a huge headache and he was disoriented. He realized he was in his panther form. He looked around and pushed himself to his paws quickly. He growled angrily as he realized he had been caught. The moment he saw China he raced to her side, but he didn't change back into a human. He crouched over China and licked her cheek gently.

Her eyes lost focus a bit. She stood rock-still for a long moment and then she shivered and groaned.I'm really thirsty... but... but I don't think water will help...She didn't know what She needed. She put her hand on his chest, right below the collarbone,and then suddenly blurred forward, shoving him into the back wall and pressed her body against him, cracks splitting up the thick concrete. She looked at him for a beat, nothing but pure feline hunger in her eyes, and then her head snapped for his neck.

China gasped when he licked her and opened her eyes. She tried to sit up but fell limply back down with a small cry of pain and a rattle of chains. Her hands were closely bound to her back, pulled tight. Keltoh appeared in the doorway, holding a wine glass filled with a red liquid that most definitely was not wine. He smiled.Ready for a little trip? he stood just behind an invisible force shield.

Silva's eyes widened when Faye slammed him against the wall. He cried out when he felt several ribs crack from the impact. His large use of magic had left him far weaker than normal. He saw her head snap down and barely managed to get his good arm up to push her away before her teeth could meet his skin. He managed a whispered spell that could control Faye's body as he slid down the wall and onto his knees. Every breath he took was extremely painful, he was afraid one of his broken ribs had punctured a lung. His head was bowed with the effort of holding the magic. His long silver hair fell around his face in tangles, his braid ruined. His tattoos glowed faintly. He didn't know how long he would be able to hold the spell.

Rome had been about to attempt to break the chains in his jaws when he heard Keltoh. He turned and let out a furious snarl. He crouched down, his entire body ready to spring at the vampire, his tail lashing behind him aggresively.

Faye was held still by the spell. She gasped and founght harshly, her throat was burning like hellfire at this point. She managed to reach an arm out to him, palm up. It was a familiar childhood gesture. It meant that she was desperate.

Keltoh laughed at him.Have fun ! He thew something bright at China. Suddenly her whole body relaxed and she dropped, her eyes staring. He turned to Rome.You know, ladies first and all that. Now here is the only information I'm giving you. Where you are about to go, is nothing like around here. You will land directly in front of China in your human form.He began pushing Rome towards a crack in the wall.Let's treat this is a game, hm? Friends play games with each other. The point of the game is to figure out how China has changed. Adios!He shouted the last word cheerfully and gave him one last shove towards the crack.

China sat on a white bench. She was wearing a beautiful white dress made of silk and lace, not unlike a wedding dress. Her dark hair was held up with pins and she wore Lacy, white, fingerless gloves. She rose her head up from where it had been resting on her hand, her book in her lap.I must have drifted off.She muttered to herself. She immediately adjusted her posture, straightening her back and crossing her legs. Ladies in this country presented themselves with the utmost in appearance and grace. While She read, She idly thought about what her wedding would be like. She was, as of current affairs, being courted by Sir Fletcher.

Silva knew he wouldn't be able to hold the spell much longer. He saw her palm up and his tattoos wavered, the dim light nearly fading completely. He knew he had to do something quickly. He managed to hold the spell as he drew a small knife from his belt. He had started carrying it since he couldn't carry his sword around. He clenched his jaw as he drew the blade along his fore arm of his broken arm. He cast a small spell that collected the blood and formed it into a ball. He didn't have enough strength to stop the blood flow, but he managed to move the blood to rest in Faye's hand. The magic in it kept it from leaving its sphere form. He fell forward as the last small spell took the rest of his energy, leaving him drained as he all but face planted on the floor. His tattoos faded completely and he looked up at Faye once before losing consiousness, the large use of magic and the pain overwhelming him.

(Before I post with Rome can you tell me a little about the time period please? Like clothes, behavior, cities, small towns, etc...)

Faye put the ball in her mouth and a wave of pleasure overcame her as the bubble burst and hot blood ran down her throat. She suddenly came back. She saw Silva unconcious and the blood smearing his arm. She bent down to help him, but the heavy smell of blood hit her and she clamped her hand over her mouth, stumbling back to slide down the wall and put her head in her hands.

(I'm thinking early Victorian ? The people live in a mostly gender-discriminating society. The rich , as China was, wore white lace and pretty dresses and the men wore suits and hats. Women are seen as not useful for anything else but having children and being housewives. China lives in a very small but rich town with horse-and-carraiges and such. China is currently in an arranged engagement with Fletcher, she is human and doesn't know that he is a vamp. He plans to turn her on their wedding night.)

(Is Rome in his modern clothes or in a suit? *dumb question*)

Senshi burst through the front door in his huge human form. He had long hair like Silva's, but it was pitch black and he was nothing but muscle. His right wrist was obviously broken. He had shifted when he felt Rome disappear. Even with a great distance between them he could always feel a slight connection to his master and it when it vanished he had gone into a panic, forgetting his orders to hide his human form from Faye. He saw the girl sitting near the wall and his eyes widened when he saw Silva laying on the ground. He recognized Faye's behavior from when Rome had first taken China's blood. He quickly grabbed a towel from the kitchen and wrapped it tightly around Silva's broken arm, stopping the blood flow. He quickly cleaned up the rest of the blood and lit one of the stronger smelling candles Rome kept in the house just in case blood was spilled so that most of its scent could be covered. He carefully lifted the spellcastor up and carried him to the couch where he gently laid the man down. Thistle was at his side in an instant. She had left the house momentarily and had just ran through the still open front door in time to see Senshi lay her master down.

(Modern maybe? He is after all not from there)
Faye was sobbing. She didn't know what was wrong with her because China had never explained. She rocked slightly, as she had always done when she was afraid.

(Okey dokey)

Thistle rested her head on the edge of the couch and let her muzzle rest against Silva's hand. The spellcastor brand on her shoulder glowed slightly as she gave him some of her energy.

Senshi left Silva to his own demon's care and approached Faye. He quietly crouched down next to her. He knew that even though he looked like a human, animal blood flowed through his body. He barely hesitated before reaching over to rest his large hand on the girl's shoulder. He remained silent.

Rome blinked his eyes open, disoriented for a moment. He was standing on the side of an old street and he had no idea how he had gotten there. He suddenly remembered everything Keltoh had said and immeadiatly looked around, hoping that China was not far from him. He spotted her across the street, but froze in his tracks when he saw what she was wearing. Confusion was clear on his face, but he shook it off. "China!" he called out to her.

Faye gratefully accepted the comfort and gave him a small smile through her tears. She didn't recognize him.Who are you?

China looked up at the sound of her name. Her face was no less beautiful.Who is calling?Her voice was slightly posher than normal.

Senshi looked at her oddly for a moment before he remembered she had never seen his other form. "Senshi." he told her, his voice deep.

Rome froze, even more confused. He quickly crossed the street to stand in front of China. "China? It's me, Rome. Don't you remember?" he asked.

She peered at him.We have a horse named Senshi.

China closed her book fully.I'm sorry. Are you a relative of Fletcher? And why are you wearing those outlandish clothes?

Senshi couldn't help a small grin. "Did he have a broken right front fetlock?" he asked, holding up his broken wrist.

Rome looked at China oddly. "Relative? Fletcher? Clothes?" he muttered under his breath. He decided to play along, thinking this was just a trick. He smiled and nodded. "Uh, Yes actually. A distant cousin of Fletcher. I live a long way from here and these are the clothes that we wear where I'm from." he told her. Maybe I just had a nightmare of Keltoh. he thought briefly.

She gasped.You... but why...

China nodded and smiled.So, are you here for the wedding?

Senshi tilted his head curiously as he lowered his wrist, not understanding what she was asking.

Rome barely managed to hold back his surprise at her words. He still thought she was trying to trick him. He decided to play along for a while. "There is a wedding? I only came to visit the town. I had no idea he was getting married." he said, acting surprised.

Her mouth curled down in anger.Lies! Everyone has been telling me lies!

China suddenly smiled bigger than ever. She got up.Well, Well, you took your time, love.Fletcher pushed smoothly around Rome to put his arm around China's waist. China took his hands off, giggling.Now Now, until we are married, the laws say no touch.He took her hand in his anyway.Who is you friend?

Senshi pulled back slightly in surprise at her anger. "Lies?" he asked. He couldn't remember ever lying to the girl, given he had never truly spoken to her.

Rome stiffened the moment he saw Fletcher. It hit him like running headlong into a brick wall. He wasn't dreaming and China wasn't trying to trick him. Keltoh had sent both him and China back into her past before she had changed into a vampire. His eyes widened briefely as he realized this was the human China and she was about to get married to the man that would turn her into a vampire. He glanced down at his hands and was relieved to see that he still had his spellcastor tattoos. He just hoped that Keltoh didn't mess with his powers. "I must be going now." he excused himself quickly and took off down the street, turning into the nearest alley. He quickly cast a spell and was relieved to find out that his powers still worked as he suddenly turned into a small songbird. He didn't like the form, but it would be easier to follow China in the form of a bird instead of causing a panic by padding down the street as a panther.
