He smiled, "ya. I got that."

Compass flew down to the ground and acted dead.

The pups all raced to Enzo and hope. "He's dead!" They all wailed. Hope bent her head. "Nah, he's just pretending." She said, and they all lept off to attack the bird with kisses. She sighed, dropping her chin to her paws and closing her eyes.

He laughed and stood up, "You saved me!"

The pups all yipped and howled, all out of pitch. Hope cringed. "They need to be tuned."

Enzo laughed as Compass shivered, "Yes!"

The pups yapped and barked, and Hope laughed.

Enzo laughed along with her as he watched Compass fly around, low to the ground.

She sighed, and lay on her side, closing her eyes and soaking up the sun.

Enzo smiled at her then got up, ready to hunt.

The pups followed him, barking and yapping.

He laughed, "You have to stay here guys. Play with Compass." Compass screached when he heard his name.

They turned to chase Compass.

Compass screached again and tore through the sky as Enzo calmly loped into the forest.

Thus the pups swamped the she wolf, snuggling up against her despite annoyed growls.

Compass gave Hope a knowing look and flew up into a tree to relax for some time. Enzo soon came back with a big fat moose and he dragged it to the center of the field and began eating.

She opened one eye but didn't move.

Enzo finished eating and left the moose there as he walked up to his own nest(thingy) and lay down, closing his eyes.
Comapass flew down to the moose and ate his fill before nodding at Hope, "The rest is yours."

She sighed, nodding gently.

(hmmmm... idk what to do next?)

(Mmm I dunno. Thinkingggg. Thiiiiinnnnnkkkkkkiiiiinnnngggggg)

(does she even like Enzo? Like at all haha, she seems really annoyed all the time.. dang pups.! lmbo.)

Yeeah. She's just scared. Given her history with other male wolves and all. Her pups irritate her, she didn't want them and now she has two litters. Mmmm.

The pups, now grown, gathered in the clearing. The younger litter bounced excitedly, for tonight was their forst hunt. The older litter walked to Hope, each licking her forehead, the other seven copying. Soon they were leaving the clearing in a line, falling into each others footsteps. Hope stood, turning to climb to her nest and slump along one side.

Enzo walked into the clearing to watch as the pups gathered together to try their luck at hunting. He smiled at all of them. He had watched them grow up and now it was time for them to prove themselves. He smiled at Hope.
