Rosetta leaned into the touch that she had missed for so long. "I love you too." she whispered, a trembling smile on her lips. "Do you wish to go see your granddaughter now?" she asked suddenly as she remembered his first reason for coming down the stairs.

He nodded, his eyes filled with doubt. The light from the window turned his eyes from black to nearly golden.

Rosetta stood up from the couch and grabbed Sweeney's hands in her own. She gave him a small encouraging smile and tugged on him, leading him towards their daughter's room.

Sweeney followed, his fingers trembling slightly.

Rosetta stopped at the door to the room and stood to the side to let Sweeney go first. Raven laid perfectly still on the ground at the foot of the bed.

Sweeney walked in slowly. He looked at Johanna and they shared a look for a long while before she handed the sleeping baby girl to Sweeney. He looked at the baby and gasped softly.She looks like you did.

A small smile crossed Rosetta's face at Sweeney's response. Raven stood and padded over to her and sat at her feet, purring softly at the scene of Sweeney meeting his granddaughter. "All that trouble for nothing." she purred under her breath.

Sweeney blinked hard. He remembered standing with Lucy at the hospital bed.

Rosetta smiled softly. It was quiet and peaceful in the room, but only for a moment. A loud squeal followed by laughter came from down the hall, signalling the end of the boys' nap time. Loud yips of delight came shortly after. Rosetta sighed and left Raven's side to go down to the twins' room. The moment she opened the door both Alexander and Logan crawled over and latched onto her ankles, giggling, while Baron yipped and ran around in circles. A shredded teddy bear lay on the ground. An obvious sign of tug-of-war. Rosetta smiled and scooped both boys up into her arms spinning in a tight circle causing the twins to squeal in joy.

Sweeney gently handed his granddaughter back to her nother and followed Rosetta. He leaned against the door, watching.

Rosetta gave both of the giggling boys a tight squeeze and a kiss on the forehead before placing them back onto the floor. She watched as they crawled over to Baron who had latched onto the remains of the teddy bear and was shaking it back in forth, wanting to play.

Sweeney grabbed her from behind as she watched, sliding his mouth down her neck.

Rosetta gasped the moment he grabbed her. When his lips touched her neck she leaned back into his touch with a longing sigh. She hadn't just missed his voice, but his very presence, his touch. Baron let out a small, muffled yip and took off out of the room with the twins crawling quickly after him.

Sweeney gripped her tighter and planted small kisses on her throat.

Rosetta moaned softly and tried to twist in Sweeney's grip so that she could face him.

Sweeney spun her around and faced her, stroking her cheek.

Rosetta tilted her head up, her bright red hair falling back away from her face. She gave him a small trembling smile, green eyes filled with happy tears.

Sweeney dipped down to meet her lips.

Rosetta brought her arms up to wrap them around his neck, her fingers twisting into his hair.

Sweeney held her gently around the waist. He deepened the kiss slightly.

Rosetta moaned into the kiss. She pulled back slightly to catch her breath. "I missed you..." she whispered before kissing him again.

Sweeney managed to mumble the same back before she kissed him. He moaned softly and held her tighter.

Rosetta melted into the kiss, her body molding against his.

Sweeney took a step back and sat down on the bed, pulling her into his lap.
