"Did you want me to let Anthony die?" Raven asked, her eyes narrowing.

Johanna hesitated before shaking her head. She felt trapped. Her father was the only real family she had ever had after she keft the judges house. She valued that almost more than anything else. Anthony was as much her world and her life, but when it came to her father, she just couldn't let him go and leave her alone again.
Johanna had been clever enough to figure out that this Rosetta was not her real mother. She did not know where her real mother was but she had sneaking suspiscions about the church cleaner. Oh, well. She would never really know. She turned around and sat down in a big chair, massaging her stomach absentmindedly.
All right. Yes yes, you're right. But my father is the only real bloodline I have left. What am I to do about that?

Raven felt sorry for the woman. "I won't hurt him, but I won't let him hurt others either." she sighed. "You have more important things to think about anyways. All of this stress is not good for you." She suddenly darted forward and snatched Logan out of her arms by his shirt. "I'll take him back to Rosetta." she mumbled around the fabric in her mouth.

Johanna gasped as the baby was yanked out of heer arms, but thanked the cat with a grateful smile and sank down into the chair, breathing out . All this stress was indeed going to her head and a light sweat had formed on her forehead.

Raven carried Logan back to Rosetta's room. The woman had moved from her spot in the doorway to the bed. Alexander was curled up next to her along with the little white puppy, all of them asleep. It seemed the stress had finally overwhelmed her and Rosetta had cried herself to sleep. The large panther carefully placed her front paws on the edge of the bed and laid Logan down beside Alexander. Despite her hatred of dogs she couldn't help a purr of amusement when she saw the small red-haired boy with his arms wrapped around the white puppy. Once she made sure that everything was okay she left the room and padded back down to the room where Johanna and Anthony were. She stayed on the other side of the doorway, but she was going to stay close enough just in case anything happened.

Anthony crossed the room and took Johanna into his arms.

Raven watched as Anthony went over to Johanna and turned her head away, trying to give them a little privacy.

Everything stood still for the time being.

Johanna was in the house looking for Rosetta. She needed an extra pin for the dress she was making.

Rosetta was in the twins room, playing with the two giggling boys. They had grown a lot over the past few months and their personalities were definitely making themselves known. Logan was obviously the more loud, outgoing type while Alexander stayed quiet and seemed very watchful of everything. They were the only things that kept Rosetta from falling into a depression. She felt terrible about keeping anything from Sweeney and felt even worse when he wouldn't speak to anyone. Raven had started keeping an eye on her as well as Johanna and Anthony in the fear that the woman would do something stupid.

Johanna walked in.
Hey mom, do you have a...
She was cut off abruptly by a shock of pain across her stomach. She gasped slightly, holding her stomach.

Raven had been padding down the hall, still in her large panther form, when she heard Johanna's gasp. She had refused to return to her smaller house-cat form. She entered the twins room at the same time Rosetta scrambled to her feet. The woman was at her adopted daughter's side in seconds, leaving the boys on the blanket they had been sitting on. Raven instantly took her place, curling around the twins. Rosetta rubbed Johanna's back soothingly as she asked if it was the child.

Johanna nodded as another sharp pain shot through her stomach. She gave a little cry.

Rosetta instantly started to help Johanna to her daughter and Anthony's room. She need to get her laying down before the contraction got to strong. The little white puppy, which had grown a lot over the last few months, watched them leave before racing through the house to find Anthony. Once he found the man he grabbed onto his pant leg and started to tug on him, trying to get him to follow.

Johanna began to lean heavily on her mother as the pain grew. Anthony looked down at the puppy and walked in the direction he was being pulled.

Rosetta reached the room and helped Johanna to get up on her bed and lay down. The little puppy reached the room a few moments later, glancing occasionally over his shoulder to make sure Anthony was still following. The moment Rosetta saw Anthony she let out a relieved breath. "Go get the doctor. Now!" she told him quickly as she stayed next to Johanna.

Anthony raced over and kissed Johanna gently on the forehead before sprinting out. He ran non stop until he got to the doctors and burst inside.

Johanna gasped as another pain shook her. She lay back on the bed, beads of sweat gathering on her forehead.

The young nurse in the front waiting area gasped loudly when a man burst through the door, but quickly regained her composure. "Can I help you sir?" she asked.

Rosetta moved forward and took one of Johanna's hands into her own, trying to give the girl as much comfort as she could.

He turned to her.I need a doctor fast.

Johanna suddenly screamed. They were running out of time.

The moment the words left the man's mouth the nurse turned to shout for the doctor but was interrupted before she could say anything. "What can I do for you young man?" an older, grey-haired man asked.

Rosetta stayed calm, but a worried expression crossed her features when Johanna screamed.

The little white puppy that Rosetta had named Baron yelped and raced from the room the moment the woman screamed. He ran to the twins' room and didn't even hesitate when he saw the huge cat curled around the two boys. He leaped straight onto them and curled up in a tight ball between them, not even waking them.

Anthony raced to him.My wife is giving birth.He panted.

The doctor simply nodded and went to grab his bag. He was at the door and holding it open for Anthony to lead the way in only a few minutes. "After you." he said calmly.
