Rome grimaced as he looked at the slashes covering his bare back. "I might need some help with these. If you don't mind." he told China.

She tended to the slashes as gently as possible.I'm sorry.

Rome looked over his shoulder at her. "Sorry? For what?" he asked. He groaned as the slashes were tended to. It hurt like crazy, but he tried his best to hide the pain.

She winced at his groan.I got you into this.

He gave her a small smile. "Don't worry about it. I would've found some kind of trouble with or without you. I wasn't kidding when I said death was following me like a shadow. I'm kinda glad you got me into this. I was able to help you and I'll never regret that." he told her. He jumped as he felt pressure against one of the deeper slashes and smothered the groan that was trying to escape his mouth. "I've had worse." he mumbled. He picked up a cloth from the ground and wiped the blood from the scratches that made up the mark on his arm. He gasped when he wiped the blood away and saw that the mark had already healed.

Rome didn't say anything. His gaze locked with hers. He was truly lost in her eyes.

She smiled, her eyes glittering. She rubbed her hand over her face, wiping off the makeup and revealing purple, switling tatoos winding down her face and dissapearing into her dress.

Rome's blue eyes widened at the tattos. "What the...?" he mumbled. He reached up with his hand and traced one of the swirls with his finger.

She smiled. These are the mark that shadows follow. They used to be black. But you saved me.She reached up to put both hands on his neck, feeling the pulse. Because she had lied in a way. Yes, the marks were for shadows, but also were the mark of a vampire. But she had no intention on hurting him. She leaned in slightly, keeping her eyes locked on his.

Senshi had been on the other side of the huge room when the shadow had shown up and walked closer. He had sensed that something was odd about the female, but he hadn't figured it out. His ears flicked back and forth, his nostrils flaring. He watched as the female leaned closer to Rome, her hands on his neck. He snorted and pawed at the ground nervously.

Rome was frozen, his eyes on China's. His body went rigid when he heard the stallion snort. He knew Senshi was nervous, but he couldn't focus.

She looked at the horse. Part of her vampire abilities was to talk to animals.[]I will not hurt him.[/i] She thought, sending the thought to Senshi. She moved her arms to wrap them around his neck, Leaning in closer, very slowly, she was about an inch away from his lips.

Senshi tossed his head, suprised when he heard the female. He understood what she said, but that didn't make him any less nervous. The last person that had been that close had nearly killed Rome. The man had just been a boy when they had met and only a week later there was an atempt on his life.

Rome relaxed the closer China got. His senses felt muted and his mind was fuzzy.

She finally leaned in and kissed him very softly on the lips, being careful not to nip him by accident.

Rome brought his hands up. He ran his fingers through her hair, caressing the back of her neck. His heart beat picked up.

She felt his heartbeat speeding up. She opened her lips slightly, bringing her hands to rest on his shoulders.

Rome moved his hand to rest against her back. He pulled her closer, kissing her deeply. His heart pounded loudly in his own ears.

She hissed, deep in her chest, which was very hard to hear. She molded herself to him, kissing him with all her strength, trying to control her strength. She moved one of her hands to his hair.

Rome pulled her closer to his bare chest. He thought he heard something but ignored it. He felt her hand against his hair and kissed her harder. His heart beat so quickly it was becoming painful. He yanked himself back suddenly, his heart feeling as though it were going to explode. He fell to his hands and knees, gasping for breath. He coughed up blood, watching as crimson spots covered the floor beneath him. "The...p-posion." he choked out in a whisper. He rolled onto his back, his chest heaving. He grasped his throat, finding it harder to breath.

She was too scared to scream. She dropped beside him, putting her hands on his chest and starting to cry. If things turned to the worst... she'd have to turn him. She could not live without him. How strong is it?

Rome looked up at China, his eyes filled with regret. "S-stronger than I thought. I'm s-sorry. I...wish we could have h-had more time together." he whispered reaching up with a shaking hand to caress her cheek. "Don't...cry." he told her, gasping for breath. He heard Senshi's heavy hoofbeats as the stallion approached, nickering fearfully. "E-easy boy. Look after China for me o-okay." he told the huge horse, reaching out to stroke the soft, black velvety muzzle. He gasped as it became even harder to breath. His entire body shook from the pain. "I-I'm so s-sorry." he choked out.

Her whole body shook as she realised what she had to do. She caressed his cheek, looking into his eyes.[b]Shhhhh. Its going to be okay, I promise. I wont let you die. She kissed his cheek, then bent down and gently bit his neck, her venom trickling into the wound.

Rome gasped, pain flooding his entire body. His eyes flashed from their normal blue to green and back repeatedly. He reached up and grasped China's arms, his body shaking violently. Senshi snorted fearfully and reared up, letting out a terrified scream.

She started crying.I'm so sorry... I never wanted to put you through this.She put one hand on his cheek and held one of his hands.
