"whoa" she slid back and held her legs on.

He stood there, not moving and not going to jump.

Cassie walked Ransom over. "Woah. That spells trouble. What other disciplines have you ridden with him?" She asked, frowning slightly.

"hes a new horse so only cross-country and this, i think i worked with dessage on him'

She nodded. "Maybe he isn't cut out for Show jumping. Or he needs a bitta work. My mare hates jumping. She won't go over a single jump. But I ride her western, and she races, and she's a good flats worker."

"never thought of that" She slid from his back. " i'll lunge him here tomarrow.?"

Cassie hopped down from Ransoms back, gently taking off his bridle. "He looked pretty impressive out there though. Maybe he just needs some more confidence with the jumps." She shrugged, smiling. "Feel free to train in here whenever you like. We don't do much in lessons, but if one person's riding, then there is gonna be others comin out too." She laughed, tickling Ransoms forehead as he looked for treats.

He looked at the 3 of them, he got in front of the first jump wanting to take another go at it.Without be ridden, or...try to do it.He backed up a bit, then went into a canter jumping over one, then the next one, but suddenly crashed into the last one.He slid on his rear-end until he finally crashed into a pile of poles.He snorted coming out of the pile, an unhappy look on his face.He trotted next to Maple, who was probably laughing a bit.

She smiled "oh spy" She lead him to his stall and brushed him down then took his bridle of and locked him up for the night.

He layed down and slept for the night, but...he got sick from...some case...but..they probably didn't know what.He wheezed a bit in his sleep.

Maple walked down in the morning. "hi little boy" she walked in and stepped back. "cassie!" she yelled. Maple took a halter and tried to lead him to cross ties.

Lee appeared down the barn aisle, ignoring the horses that greeted her and coming straight to the cross ties. "Cassie left half an hour ago to get food. I'm Lee, we own the barn in a partnership." She looked at Spy, frowning. "Oh boy, you don't look too good."

"oh well this is spy.. i rode him last night, seemed fine nows just blah.."

He wheezed again, and felt his knees unbuckle on their own.He fell to his knees and wheezed again, the wheezing wasn't a good sign..he wheezed a big wheeze once more.

Maple sighed. "this is my second horse.."

He breathed heavily, he was warm like he had a fever.But he wheezed more and more.

She disappeared into the office and picked up the phone. She dialed a few numbers, and waited. "Hey its m$e, hurry back, Spy is sick. Bye." She hung up, and came back out. "Unclip him, and follow me." She said.

She did what she had been told.

She led them out of the barn and across the courtyard to another, wider barn that had a sign out front with the veterinary symbol on it. She led them past Blackjack on one side and Encore and Blue on the other. She opened the door of the stall beside Blackjacks, stepping away so she could lead him in. The barn was similar to the other, but the stalls were slightly bigger, with completely open fronts, and there were rings by the stall door. Though the other barn was clean, this one was free of dust and bugs and dirt. "When cassie gets back, she'll have a look at him, but for now all I can do is give him something that relaxes the lungs, will ease the wheezing."

She nodded. "do know a horse i could barrow, or a lesson horse there is?"

She nodded. "You can ride Strobe, or one of the twins, or Ransom. Though the twins are both ponies, and Strobe's a bit headstrong, and is more green than Ransom." She went into the office and came back with some sweet grain, mixing in some medicine with her hand. "Hand feed this to him, the medicine will make it easy to breathe." Lee handed Maple the small pucket, wiping her hands on her jeans.

He wheezed a last HUGE wheeze, losing breath and couldn't catch his breath.Soon he passed out..he wheezed in his 'Passed Out' mode.

"Alright, plan B." She grimaced, and went into the room, coming back with a full syringe. "I wanted to feed it to him, but now he's passed out he needs a shot." She gently pulled on some skin right before his shoulder, and injected the medicine. "He won't be allergic, its got common ingrediants that have never reacted with a horses body, like anywhere." She shrugged. "But if so there's a horse eppy in there too."

She nodded.

Lee pulled the needle back out, standing and throwing away the syringe, going to the sink and washing her hands. "Hopefully he'll pick up quickly, but we'll keep him in here and monitor him." She smiled.
