Maple led Spy her horse into the ring. She talked to her teacher. "oh I'm so sorry I'm a little late, but you can get on" Any said. Maple nodded and led spy a little more up. She pulled down and grabbed a little mounting block. Then maple fussed with the stirrups. Soon she jumped onto spy's back. Put her feet in the stirrups and walked and trotted not jumping yet.

(Hmm so she's having a lesson? Can i steal the role of teacher?)

Cassie sat on the top rail of the fence. She pulled her curly hair back into a ponytail, most of it black locks, but some multicolour tips. She watched Maple and Spy. "Alright. So what do you know? And what do you want to know?"

Maple turned and slowed to a walk with her horse." I'm going in a a show this weekend and i need a little help on getting spy over some of the flower box jumpers, i believe one is 4 ft, and the other 5 ft.? i don;t know but i need help getting him over those."

She nodded, and opened the gate between the flats ring and jumping ring. "Alrighty, come in here."

"ok" she walked with her horse following Cassie.

Cassie dropped a few poles on an elaborately flowered jump. It was only three foot when she was done. "Try it."

Maple pushed spy into a trot and warmed him up. Then into a canter she aimed at the jump and strode to it. Spy lifted his head about to turn away when maple pushed her heels him pushing him forward.He just paused. "see!" HE tried to go over it again, same thing.

"Hmmm." She paused, thinking. "Can you ride bareback?"

"Yea, i do it all the time when its warm, want me to untack spy?"

Hang the saddle and pad on the fence and leave on his bridle." She pulled down the last pole, leaving only the flower boxes, coming to just over 2 ft. Tiny.

Maple got off, took of the girth and put the pad, saddle, and girth onto the fence. She halted spy and mounted im trotting him aroun dwaiting for teachers commands.

"Now you've got the close-body-contact, he can feel you completely. If you hesitate at all, he'll feel it and won't go over. So drive him on, and be confident. Push him over the jump, almost." She stood by the standard, watching.

'OK" She pushed him faster and faster into a canter then aimed at the jump. She cluched the reins and sank her heels down into his side feeling how eh was moving told her what to do. Spy flew over the jump only hitting the pole and partly knocking it down. Maple patted him" good boy" she whispered...

She nodded, fixing the pole and putting up another. "Alright, again. Use your whole leg to keep contact, including your knees."

She tried again and spy flew over the jump!

She put up the first pole.

Cassie encouraged her. "Push him on. Let him know its okay to jump it."

MAple did as she said, spy was.....(you continue it i have no idea what will happen!)
