shadow piinned the cougar biting its neck with his sharp fangs
he held on as he got tossed this way and that but he held on he didnt let go untill the cougar stoped moving he let go panting and blood driping out of his mouth

Cheveyo could hear Nathan's voice, but it barely eased his fear. He backed up and stumbled over a fallen tree branch. His instincts told him to get away from the fight, but the pain and his lack of vision kept him from running. He tossed his head wildly. His golden neck and face covered in blood. The scent of a strange wolf mixed with the scent of the cougar, fueling his fear.

Onyx had started to lower her head to sniff the cat when she heard Cheveyo's shrieks of pain and fear. She jerked her head up and Catori barely managed to jump off of the mare before she lunged forward into the trees. The black mare disappeared through the trees and arrived as the fight ended. Catori was left behind with the cat. She had felt the mare's sudden panic and had scrambled off before the mare carried her into the low tree limbs. She looked down at the cat and crouched down. She gave the feline a small grin. Despite the way Kitchi felt about cats, she didn't have the same feelings that her wolf guardian did.

shadow panted walking toward the buckskin horse he jumped on his back and licked his eyes clearing them out .

Nathan pushed the wolf off of Cheveyo's back, knowing it would only panic the stallion more. "Cheveyo, you need to listen to me. Concentrate on my voice, and calm down best you can. If you're panicking then I can't get you back to the farm, and I can't help you. The fight is over, no one's gonna hurt you." His voice was cool and calm, and he was either totally oblivious to the gashes all over his torso, or a brilliant actor. "Hush boy, come over to my voice."

Cheveyo had been about to surge forward when he felt the weight of the wolf shoved off of his back. He pranced and stumbled nervously. He wanted nothing more than to go to Nathan, but the pain and fear wouldn't leave him. He finally moved towards Nathan's voice only to stumble and fall to his knees. He nickered pitifully.

Onyx had stopped a short distance away from Nathan and Cheveyo. She wanted to go to Cheveyo, but there was nothing she could do for him. She snorted fearfully as she looked at the deep, bloody gashes that ran down the stallion's once pure gold neck. His entire head was covered in the same wounds. The worst of the injuries crossed over the stallion's eyes and the sides of his face. She had to keep herself from running to him, her hooves striking angrily at the ground at her helplessness.

Nathan stepped forwards, wiping his hands clean of his own blood, and stroking Cheveyo's nose. "Hush boy. I know, it hurts. Let's get back to the farm, I'll clean you up." He almost winced when he moved his arm, but then gently twined his fingers through the stallions mane. He gently, ever so slightly, pulled his mane in the direction of the farm, to tell him which way to go. "We'll be alright. You'll be alright."

shadow growled softly at getting pushed off but he didnt attack nathan he went over to a suuny spot and laid down his wounds facing thew sun to dry the blood he feel into a soft sleep breathing gently and softly.

Chèvre yo carefully stood back up when he felt Nathan tug on his mane. He hesitated slightly before moving to follow the boy.

Nathan gently guided the stallion through the woods, carefully bringing him around obstacles and trees, making sure he didn't step on rocks or in holes. The journey took a while, Nathan leading Cheveyo slowly, partly because he knew Cheveyo was wounded, and partly because he was getting dizzy, and it hurt to breathe. Finally they got to the farm, the evening light making it dim. Nathan led the stallion to his stall, and then as fast as he could, went to get the first aid and a bucket of hot water. He then went outside and gathered a few herbs that might help, and came back in to set to work. He began sponging Cheveyos wounds, talking to hime. He began telling Cheveyo about his mother, and how she did the best she could, even though her best wasn't very good. But they were happy, until she finally got sick and passed. He told the stallion about how he lived with his older sister and brother, and they taught him all about horses. And how he finally moved out and found the broken down ranch, and began restoring it. Then he began telling Cheveyo about different types of horses and how they were all unique, as he began wrapping wounds. He left the larger gashes uncovered- he'd stitch them up later- and then looked at Cheveyos eyes, still talking. He didn't think he could save Cheveyo's sight, the amount of damage done meant he'd be blind. But Nathan cleaned out the wounds, and his eyes, and gently dabbed a herbal poultice on the scratches. He pulled out an eye flush kit, warning the stallion it may feel odd, and cleaned his eyes with that. "They shouldn't infect. But you won't be able to see." Nathan said sadly. "I'll have to stitch your gashes- it'll hurt." He said, stroking Cheveyos now clean coat.

Cheveyo had stood as still as he could while Nathan treated his wounds, jerking away whenever the boy used to much pressure. He had had to force himself not to yank his head back when Nathan cleaned his eyes. He nickered pitifully, his head low to the ground and his ears back. His ears barely even twitched at Nathan's words. He didn't believe the pain could get any worse.

Nathab shook his head softly, upset for the stallion. He pulled out his needle and surgical thread, and began stitching him up carefully. When he was done, he finally fell back against the wall, eyes closing. He was exhausted, and in pain. He shivered slightly, but then lay in the straw and shuddered into a cold sleep.

shadow woke up in a bitterly cold night he dook a journy through the woods seeing a farm he thought it was abadoned so he trotted in the barn and laid on a pile of straw he didnt know he was laying against nathan he fell in to a warm sleep.

Nathan awoke when the wolf settled beside him, pushing himself up. He was pale, and shivered a lot. He should've taken care of his own wounds earlier, but he was too tired from caring for Cheveyo. He helped himself to stand, and fetched a bucket of warm water and a blanket. He lay the blanket over Cheveyo, hoping to keep him warm, and sat beside the strange wolf, gripping the warm bucket to his chest and falling into a restless sleep.

shadow waking in a hazy half slee/half awake daze he scooted next to nathan for warmth (thats all i have for now)

Cheveyo barely moved as he heard Nathan moving around. He became nervous when he smelled the wolf, but it didn't approach him and it didn't seem aggresive so he tried to ignore it. He flinched slightly when he felt Nathan place the blanket over him. He had felt Nathan's cold hands and he could smell the boy's injuries. He moved towards where his scent was coming from. He barely lifted his hooves in fear of stepping on the wolf or boy. He turned his head and after a few tries he managed to grip the blanket in his teeth. He pulled the blanket off and lowered his head until his muzzle touched Nathan's shoulder. He dragged the blanket over the boy's chest and let it drop. His lack of sight frightened him, but he wasn't going to let it stop him from repaying Nathan for helping him.

Nathan started slightly at the blanket. He beckoned for the horse to lay down beside him, shivering again.

shadow scooted to the other side of nathan instead of in front of him his soft warm fur rest against his side

Cheveyo heard Nathan move and then heard the wolf move to the other side of Nathan. The stallion moved and laid down beside the boy, slightly falling when he couldn't judge the distance to the ground. He brought his head around until he felt his muzzle touch Nathan's arm. He nickered quietly, wondering if the boy was alright.

shadow went beside the stallion to keep him warm he licked the horses side letting him know he wouldn't harm him

Nathan stroked Cheveyo's cheek, sighing weakly and leaning back against the wall, hand draped over the horses neck. Well atleast he wasn't bleeding anymore. He felt hollow and tired, and he ached all over.

shadow licked the boys hand he fially made up his mind and walked to the other side of him. he laid next to him his soft fur brusing against him.

Cheveyo snorted nervously when he felt the wolf near him, but calmed down at Nathan's touch. He suddenly jerked his head up at the sound of hurried footsteps and caught Catori's scent. The white haired girl came quickly to the stall, Onyx following behind closely. The mare stood outside the stall as Catori rushed in, quickly kneeling beside Nathan when she saw how badly injured he was. She lightly touched Nathan's shoulder to get his attention. "Help?" she asked pointing from herself to Nathan's injuries, her english still rough. She couldn't remember enough words to ask him if he wanted her help.

Nathan started slightly at her touch, and nodded once, an action which sent his head spinning. His vision blurred, doubling and then settling again. "Yes, help." He mumbled, shivering as a chill went down his back. The movement sent pain blooming across his chest and shoulders as those wounds were split open slightly, bleeding again, but not as badly as earlier. The gashes on his upper arms were fine, painful but not bleeding. Nathan shakily put down the bucket of now-lukewarm water he had been holding, and pulled off his shredded, dirty and bloody shirt. His torso was riddled with criss-crossing gashes from his wrestle with the panther, the most amount of damage to his shoulders, where it had anchored its claws into him, and then been pulled off. Those wounds were deepest, but the others weren't shallow either. The cool night air stung slightly, but then felt relaxing as Nathan sat against the wall, sighing.
