Seeing the strange horse flee, with the bug cat aty her heels, Nathan clicked his tongue at Cheveyo.

Cheveyo finally saw the cougar and watched it chase the new mare. He heard Nathan click his tongue and he took off at a run towards the cougar. When he caught up he swerved in front of the cougar and reared up slightly, so that Nathan wouldn't slip. He let out a loud whinny as he struck the ground with his sharp hooves. Warning the cougar to back off.

Nathan hollered and waved his arms around threateningly, trying to shoo the cougar off.

Nathan continued to attempt to shoo the cougar away. (Ps. Breyergirl you control the cougar since you brought it into the post )

star looked at nathan and neighed in thanks she rubbed her head on him for a moment the turned and ran .

Cheveyo side stepped when the mare came up next to him and then shook his head when she ran off. His attention was on where the cougar had disappeared off to. He pranced and tossed his head, turning in a tight circle. He didn't like having a cougar on what he considered his territory. If Nathan hadn't been on his back he wouldn't have hesitated in going after the big cat.

Nathan leant forward, tangling his hands in Cheveyos mane. "Let's go boy!" He said, offering to chase the cougar.

The moment Nathan leaned forward and gripped his mane, Cheveyo took off like a bullet after the cougar. He glanced back when he heard the mare folowing them and let out an angry whinny. He lunged in front of the mare to cut her off, nipping her mane. He gave her a look that warned her not to follow before continuing his chase.

Nathan held on well, years of experience making riding like this a thing as easy and thoughtless as blinking, or breathing.

Cheveyo glanced back at Nathan before focusing on his chase. He could barely hear the cougar in front of them and suddenly the sound of light paw steps vanished. He skidded to a stop and his ears flickered, his nostrils flaring as he tried to find the cougar's location. He continued forward cautiously, warily scanning the area in front of him.

Nathan barely leant back, enough to re-center over Cheveyo's point of balance, glancing around warily for the cougar.

Sinter watched the chase carefuly from where she sat in a soft patch of grass. Her tail flickerd as she opened her mouth wide and let out big yawn, apparantly bored. A couple of flies started to buzz around her, causing her to hiss and paw the air. She shook herself, again focusing on the chase.

Onyx had followed Cheveyo until he confronted the other mare. Now she stood in the trees, barely able to see Cheveyo except for an occasional flash of his golden coat. Her ears flickered when she heard a little noise not far from her and when she took a quick look around she spotted a small cat. She walked silently through the trees carrying Catori on her back. The girl stayed quiet and watched the cat from her perch on the mare's back.

Cheveyo kept walking forward, every muscle tense. The cougar's scent suddenly filled his nose and he barely had time to react before he heard the loud hiss. He pivoted on his front legs and caught a glimpse of flashing claws before the weight of the cougar came down on his head and neck. By turning he had managed to keep Nathan out of the cougar's way. The large cat had been aiming for his back. The cougar's weight brought the stallion to his knees. Cheveyo let out a shriek of outrage and pain, struggling to get away from the large predator. He felt the claws tearing into the sides of his neck and his face.

Nathan wrestled with the cougar, trying to stop it from doing much damage to the stallion. With a heavy thud, he threw himself and the cat to the earth, him landing heavily on the cougar. He grit his teeth against the pain of the fresh wound now down his arms and hands, and even around his shoulders. He struggled to keep it underneath him as he wrangled it with all his strength, muscles straining as it clawed and snapped it teeth.

shadow ran hearing hisses he ran jumped on nathan but not attacking him he snarled lunging at the cougar holing on to its back the courger growled.

Her long ears perked up as she turned her head to see the mare coming towards her. Tilting her head up, she saw the girl and flicked her tail, silently asking "What are you?". She had never really seen a human before. Blinking, she stood up and curiously wandered over to the mare, eyes still on the girl.

Nathan stumbled back, going to his knees at Cheveyo's side, stroking the stallion even as his hands shook. "Is alright boy, you're alright."

Cheveyo scrambled to his hooves the moment he felt Nathan touch him. He stumbled and nearly fell when he couldn't see anything. He reared back away from the sound of the fighting and tossed his head. Blood flowed from deep gashes all along his neck and face. He let out a frightened nicker. He was filled with terror. He could hear the fighting , but he couldn't see it.

"Woah boy!" Nathan cried, getting up and stumbling to the stallion, pressing his hands on the horses shoulder. "Woah there, what's wrong?'
