It was still dark when the flood lights in the jumping arena flickered on, making it bright as day. Lee walked Night in, turning to shut the gate. Her silvery hair was tied back in a braid, and she wore a shirt showing the logo of Twin Oak Equestrian Centre on it, along with grey jodphurs and black boots and half chaps. Night was tacked in jumping saddle, breast plate, and flash bridle, all in the same bright chestnut leather, sitting on top a light grey saddle pad, which matched the protectors on his front and back legs. His tail was cropped neatly, falling halfway to the ground before ending, but his mane was full length, trimmed a little to be straight. Night snorted, swinging away as Lee pulled down her stirrup. "I'm riding whether you like it or not." She said. He nudged her arm. "Its not that dangerous! Competition season doesn't last long enough for it to be dangerous!" She whispered, frowning. He snorted, and let her hop up onto his back. Her commands were invisible as she told him to walk, trot, then canter, warming up. Then she directed him to the jump, and he took off at a hand gallop. They sailed over the tall jump, perfectly, as one. She took him around a winding course, perfectly, despite the sharp turns that you'd expect a large horse to struggle with. She directed him to the tripl oxer, one bar 3 foot, the next 5 foot, the next 7. It was about 4 or 5 foot wide too, but he took it easily. He didn't even make the water ripple when he jumped the 12 foot wide water jump. She pulled him up, patting his shoulder. She walked him around letting him cool as the sun came up, slowly.

Denis clapped after the course was over. He smiled brightly,

Lee looked over, surprised, and brought Night to a stop beside him. "What are you doing up?" She asked. Both horse and rider had gained their breath back.

"My knee.. Can't sleep. I saw you out here, so I thought that I might as well get up and watch. Sorry if I uh- disturbed you."

"No, its fine."

Ariba was watching Night from a distance,she took a big bound and was over the fence in seconds. She threw her head over the rail,whinnying at Night. She was about 6 feet away from Denis.

Awwwwwwwww is she leaving the barn or just quitting :'(

She let Night stop by the fence, and he dropped his nose on the boards, snorting gently and watching Ariba.

Denis smiled at the horses.

Lees hand flitted to her stomach momentarily, and Night snorted, prancing slightly.

Denis gave her a worried look.

She looked right back. "I'm absolutely fine." She said, ignoring a skeptical snort from Night.

Denis wasn't convinced but he said, "Okay," anyways.

She laughed, and turned Night, warming him up a little and going over the jumps in a different order this time.

Denis sat, watching them intently.

Going over the third in the triple, she cringed slightly, but they finished it with nothing down. "I have an event this weekend. She said as she woahed Night by Denis. "Its a big one, I hope I don't stuff up."

"I'm sure you will be great." He smiled at her.

She nodded. "I hope." She took her feet from the stirrups, and slid down, running the stirrups up and patting his neck.

"Hopefully my knee will be better soon, I would really like to compete."

She nodded. "Hopefully ill be done competeing before I get fat." She grimaced.

He grinned slightly, "Hopefully."

She laughed, Pulling Nights tack off and resting it on the fence.

Denis smiled at Night, offering a carrot.

He flicked his ears back, not touching it. Lee tapped his nose. "Sorry about that. He's got somewhat of a... Grudge... Against men." She pushed nights nose toward the carrot, and the stallion pinned his ears and yanked it away.

Denis smiled at Night. "Sorry." He put the carrot back in his pocket and stepped back a step from Night. "Better?"

Lee rolled her eyes. "Ignore him. He needs to get over the fact that he's not the only man that's good." She sighed, tapping his shoulder. He snorted and trotted off, rolling in the sand. Lee hopped onto the top fence rail, sitting and leaning on her palms.
