Black Jack snorted, hanging his head over the door again, ignoring his hands. He nudged his arm.

Denis smiled and gently rubbed the horses muzzle.

He snorted, and turned away to get a drink.

Denis smiled and walked back over to Daioh's stall, "Be good boy, I'll see you later."

A car door shut, and there was some barking and laughing. A dalmatian bounded into the barn, and jumped up to Denis. Lee came scrambling down the aisle after him, a border collie at her heels. She grabbed the dalmatians leather collar. "Sorry!" She gasped, as the border collie ran into the feed room, greeting Cassie.

Denis laughed as the dog ran into him, "Well hello there!" he smiled and pet the dog.

"This is Pokey." She said, dragging the over-excited dog a few feet away. He tried to lick her face, and she laughed. "And Cassies dog is Matty. The only thing she does is run in circles around people. She's more... Mannered." She smiled, as Pokey tried to sniff at Denis again.

Denis laughed, "Nahh.. its fine, I had Great Danes growing up and all they wanted to do was cuddle and run and jump, so I am used to it." He smiled again.

"That's a relief." She said. She opened Nights empty stall, and Pokey trotted in. She shut it again, and pulled a dog bone from her bag, giving it to him. Matty bounded out of the feed room, and started running in circles around the two. "Wana treat?!" Lee exclaimed, tossing a second bone into Nights stall. Matty jumped up, pushing off of the half-door to land on the soft shavings. "Thatll keep them preoccupied for maybe an hour, if we're lucky." She grinned.

Denis laughed, "Looks like I need to get a dog too!"

She laughed. "Matty was going to be put down that day, and Pokey was all alone on the street." She said. Cassie came from the feed room, distributing the horses lunch into their stalls. "Pokey, don't you dare eat Nights hay." She warmed, and he whined.

Denis laughed. "I'll get a little golden retriever puppy!"

She laughed.

Denis smiled, "Do you want me to pick up some lunch or something, I was just headed to go get some."

She shrugged. "Better that than cassies day old lasagne." She smirked.

Denis chuckled, "Alright, whaddya want? I'm down for anything."

She shrugged. "Me too. But Cassies a Veggie Tale. No meat." She shrugged."I don't get how she survives."

Denis dropped his mouth open, "Dangg... I would die!" He laughed, "Well.... how bout Red Onion, all their stuff taste exactly like the real thing, but everything is organic?"

She shrugged, "likei said, ill eat anything."

"All right, I'll be right back." Denis jumped in his truck and drove to a Red Onion and got everyone burgers, organic burgers, of course. And drove back, he got out and handed Lee her's and then gave Cassie her's. Then he dug into his.

Cassie thanked him, finishing the feed sorting. Lee smiled in thanks and dug in.

When they were done, they thanked him again. Cassie distributed feed, and Lee let the dogs out of Nights stall.

Denis sat down on the ground and sighed. He thought about a lot of things that had happened in the past and looked at the present, he smiled and called tge dogs over to him.

They came bounding over, wagging.
