He stpped away. "See? There you go again!" He snorted and slashed away in less than a heartbeat but anyone could tell he had red eyes.

"Everything I say and do is wrong to you. Come and get me when you're finally ready to stop hurting me." Her voice broke at the end, and she galloped full sprint past him, so he wouldn't see her tears, and headed for the mountain. It was the least-used part of their territory. She ran across the rocks, sending stones trickling down the slope, and found a cold ledge. She collapsed, leaning on the boulder, and cried. Why did this happen to her? She thought she had found someone who would love her back. She dropped her head against the stone, and scrunched her eyes shut.

He snorted,he leaped up the cobbles up to her. He nuzzled her and laid silently down next to her.

She didn't respond, except for a slight flick in one ear. She felt exhausted, and just wanted to sleep.

He woke up,he had a bad dream of having Lucky die,he was panting and swaeting but Lucky was beside him,he nuzzled her and laid his haid along her side.

Lady Luck started awake, and then relaxed slightly. She leaned towards Shaton, pressing her muzzle against his cheek, and closed her eyes. For once, she hadn't had the nightmare she had so frequently suffered. Maybe it was because she had slept beside Shaton.

He woke up,slowly rising and lightly putting Lucky's head onto herself hastily. "Lucky?Are you awake?"

She grumbled something, and leaned against a sla of stone, a shiver rippling across her spine.

His eyes widened,he nuzzled her...

She opened her eyes, peeking up at him.

He let out a sigh he was holding,"Good. Your awake." He laid his muzzle onto her muzzle.

She nodded and stood, shaking her coat.

He nuzzled her,"So you honestly wouldn't mind sticking with me the whole day?" He smiled playfully.

She laughed. "No, I can't stand you." She said sarcastically, smiling. "Of course I wouldn't mind."

He moved his head into a weird motion,as if surrendering. "Okay! But you have to stay at my side at all times." He stood beside her,foot poised in the air,ready to move.

She laughed, and nipped his withers. "Ets go then."

He walked forward and started back towards his home with his favorite mare;Lucky. "You know,Lidia is almost full-grown..."

She kept stride with him. "She's pretty much there. But now you have a million other foals to worry about, she seems to spend more and more time exploring the territory."

"I don't want her to be gone from the herd but... For a short time she must go until she matures. That leav you open..."

She looked over at him. "She's already weaned. I don't have any more milk because she stopped nursing a while ago. I guess you've been too busy to notice..." She trailed off, looking away again.

He nuzzled her,"It's okay. Are you ready for another foal?" He had soothing care in his eyes.

She looked over at him again. "+nly if you say you love me." She laughed softly. "You don't have to love the mares you breed, but I'm different to most mares, obviously." She nudged his cheek, still keeping pace with him.

He took it by surprise but he nodded,"Alrighty. I'll make sure to say it almost everytime I see you. I love you Lucky,your the best mare I'll ever meet." He nuzzled her and stopped,letting his head stay with her's.

Her hoofs brought up dust, and she pressed closerto him. "Good."

He looked at her lovingly,"Lucky,we should get home soon,I don't think it'd be right to leave over four mares with two stallions." He laughed.
