He tilted his head. "What do you mean?"

"I heard something and then.... it dissapeared."


Torro woke up with a start,he was nearing two now and it was almost time to leave the herd.

He sighed. 'Probably just deer or something." he said gently. He looked over at Torro.

"Dad!" He trotted out of the cave and into the lake's sandbar.

Angel had no worry about him in the sandbar now. She slung her muzzle lazily towards Talon's. She sighed and leaned against him.

He touched his withhers, blowing out softly.

She let out a sigh.

Torro looked back at his parents

She left the cave wabling towards the sandbar.

He followed, standing on a warm rock on shore, letting the sun soak into his body.

She was really cold in the water, getting out she stood on the shore,still shivering.

He pulled her close to him, so she could warm up in the sun and from his body heat.

She pressed closer to Talon. 'It's almost time for Torro to...leave."

He sighed. "I know. I'm hoping he'll go by himself, realizing that being here has nothing for him. I don't want to drive him out."

Torro splashed back to his parents'. "Mum dad! I have an idea! Why don't we go and hide and then one of us has to find each other!'


Angel nuzzled him,"It'll be okay,I know you can do it."

he shook his head, and smiled at Torro. "Okay."

He ran off towards the trees with Angel right behind him.


Angel galloped in the other direction from torro and hid behind an mountain looking rock.

He laughed, and trotted off, following his mates scent. He stopped, reaching a clearing with nothing but a rock in it. He tilted his head. Her scent disappeared here. He troted across the clearing, trying to find it again. And then he noticed her tail, just the tip of it, sitting on the ground, leading behind the rock. He laughed, and peeked around it. 'Hello, love."

She squealed and ran towards the other direction.

"Hey, I found you." he laughed, chasing her.

She stopped and gave him the big eyes.

"Sorry. Now hep me find your son>" he said, nipping at her forelock.

Torro darted towards his parents'."This is getting boring!"

He laughed. 'I'm supposed to find you, Torro." he laughed, nipping his sons forelck.
