The kit stalked through the brush, her black wavy stripes camoflaging her. She silently crept towards a quivering bush, and took a huge leap over it, landing on a okay-sized marsh rabbit. She sliced its throat, killing it swiftly. She dragged it out by its ears proudly. 'I win!" she mewled, beaming.

Spiritclaw laughed softly, followng her lead. Flowerstar sat, watching him pretend. She crept up, until she was completely hidden by branches.

"Good! Let's take them back now."


Ravenfur sighed,mabye she was bored or something. It couldn't be Spiritclaw was a dissapointment could it?

She beamed, dragging it in the direction of camp.

Spiritclaw studied Ravenfur as he walked, and then looked away. She's a medicine cat, you fool!

Flowerstar leapt from the branch, landing on Tigerpaws back. She rolled him over and pinned him, all in one fluid movement.

Tigerpaw was ready for it,he kicked her off and ended on top of her. "Expect the unexpected."

She glanced back at Spiritclaw. She dropped back to him. "Meet me at the falls tonight!"

Redreed grinned at his apprentice. When she reached camp he put it on the pile.

She dropped her rabbit.

"You too!" she mewled, wriggling out from under him. She spoun, darting under his legs, knocking them out from underneath him.

He stopped, looking unsure. 'Are you sure? Your a medicine cat. I couldn't get you into trouble like that..." he watched her, eyes swirling with emotions.

Ravenfur nodded,"It might not be my duty to be a medicine cat,but a warrior,or this is ment for us and we need each other."

Tigerpaw grabbed her scruff from below and yanked it so she had to get off.

Redreed whispered to Rosepaw,"Go help Tigerpaw!"

He paused. "Are you sure?" he whispered. He didnt want to hurt her.

Rosepaw watched, and then leapt in. She pounced on Tigerpaws back, nipping his ear, smiling. She'd help flowerstar instead of Tigerpaw. Flowerstar laughed, and backed away from the two apprentices. She sat next to Redreed, watching the two play, smiling.

"Flowerstar,if I broke the warrior code would you demote me?"

"Yes i'm sure,you won't,I have to go now!" She ran off towards the place were she would get help.

She paused, and looked over at him. "I.. I don't know. I wouldn't want to, but that is the warrior code... I think first, I would got to Highstones. I would ask Starclan."

He watched her go, and sat.

"I guess you'll find up one way or another... Silvermist is about to have kits' and.... they are mine..." He looked down in shame.

She flicked her tail aginst his shoulder. "Do not be shameful. So what you are in love. You always fall in love sometime in your life." she sighed. "But it is the warrior code. If it were up to me, i wouldn't mind. But I must consult starclan..."

"Oh thank you Flowerstar! I thought you'd understand!" He got up and licked the top of her head. He shied back when he realized what he did,"Sorry,can I go to there camp and tell Silvermist about it? I'll be careful!"

She smiled softly. "But i swear, redreed, if you get caught, i won't defend you too much. I'm not about to put this small clan in danger when Leopardstar is one of our strongest allies."

"Yes ma'm, I won't go i'll stay here and um... Silvermist is taking the kits' here when she has them... They can't be in her clan.." He gave a wide grin.


Tigerpaw shoved Rosepaw off him gently. "Listen I don't want to hurt you."

She gave a laugh. "You mean to say you don't want to get beat by a she-cat, right? She gave a cocky grin, and bat at his ear.

Flowerstar laughed. "I advise you meet her at the dead cyprus, on the border of our clans. its the safest place to meet, as it already smells like both clans." She jumped up to the branches of the mangrove, leaping onto one of the higher limbs. She lay with her tail and paw dangling, watching the two apprentices play with a lost look in her eyes.

He leaped up too,"You can tell me if something happened or is happening."


Tigerpaw pinned her down and held her so there was no way to escape. "Whos talking now hm?"

She nodded, but her eyes were still distant.

Rosepaw went limp, watching him. Then, she pushed with her hind legs, flinging him off of her. "Me."

He was prepared and spun around,shooting at her her grabbed her still kitten scruff and did the not -escape - hold.

She hissed. "That's just not fair." she said, ears back. She spun, raking her paw across his chest, making sure to keep her claws in.

He sliced across her face and shoved her into the ground. He strided away but made sure she wasn't planning something.

She jumped up, shaking her coat. She yawned, and looked up at her mentor in the tree. "I'm gonna go sleep.' she said. She ran to the fresh kill pile, wiolfing down the mouse, and ran to the apprentice den. She picked the most cmfortable-looking nest, and curled up, tail over her nose, eyes shut.

Tigerpaw did the same but his nest was lined with owl feathers'.

Redreed hopped down from the mangrove and started walking towards the warriors den. He wasn't hungry right now.

Flowerstar stretched out on the treelimb, and watchted the camp entrance, eyes misty, waiting for the last two to return so she could rest.
