Faye watched on intently as the two horses touched muzzles.

The mare nickered once before letting out a whinny and turning around. She trotted into the trees with the rest of the herd following quickly. They disappeared as fast as they appeared. Perce snorted before turning to Faye. He nickered before jerking his head in the direction the other horses went.

Faye was confused. Do you want to go with them? She asked.

Perce nickered and tossed his head. He trotted behind Faye and shoved her gently with his head in the direction the horses had gone.

Faye shook her head.I'm not going without Silva.She said, moving out of the way of his head.

Perce snorted when she moved away, but not in the right direction. He nickered softly and nudged her arm.

Faye stepped away from his head.I'm waiting for Silva.She said.

Perce snorted and stomped a hoof. He jerked his head in the direction the horses left and nickered loudly. If he could no longer even hear Silva then he doubted the man could find them. At least not with the sun setting and Perce had no way if knowing the path back to the ranch. They would be safer with the herd.

Faye sighed and pulled herself up onto his back. I trust you. Lead me where you want to go.

Yes I'm finally back! I have to do chores but ill be on later tonight to reply!

How much later?

Perce nickered in relief when Faye got on his back. He quickly took off in the direction the horses had gone, but this time being more careful with his rider.

Faye sat on top of the horse's back and waited for the location at which they were going. She held on lightly to his mane and her body flowed with his movements.

Percefinally stepped out of the trees and into a large, lush meadow. The entire herd was there. The foals played in the long grass, the mares grazed, and the leaf mare watched over them from a higher spot on a gentle slope.

Faye gazed around in awe. She supposed she could never get used to this kind of peace and beauty. She slowly slid off of the stallions back so as not to scare the beautiful creatures and sat on a tree stump. She loved the fact that there were no humans around to annoy her.

Once Faye slid off his back, Perce trotted over to a couple of mares who lifted their heads and nickered in greeting. He whinnied softly and joined them as they grazed. A couple of foals spotted Faye and quietly approached her, ears flicking and nostrils flaring in curiosity.
