Rosetta couldn't hold back the tears as she watched them embrace. She turned away from the window and took Alexander and Logan into her arms before walking back to her and Sweeney's room. She laid the boys on the bed and pulled out a small suitcase from under the bed. She started packing her clothes and some baby clothes she had bought. I won't lose my sons... she thought as tears fell down her cheeks.

Johanna got up.Mom? What are you doing?

Sweeney turned his head and kissed her.

Rosetta didn't even turn from her task until the suitcase was full. She wrapped blanket around each of the boys and put a coat on over her dress. She took a deep, shaky breath before turning to Johanna and pulling her daughter into a tight hug. "Just remember that I love you and your father very, very much. Good luck with Anthony. You two deserve a happy life together. I'll try to visit you so you can see your brothers." she whispered to the girl through quiet sobs. She pulled back and gave her daughter a smile through her tears before picking up the two boys and the suitcase. She didn't want to stick around to say goodbye to Sweeney. She was sure that he wouldn't want to see her now that his first wife was back.

Johanna held back a sob and hugged her hard.

Sweeney smiled. He kissed her cheek and turned to go into the house, telling her to stay there.

Rosetta gave Johanna one last smile before darting out the back door. She shut it quietly behind her and quickly cut across the back yard before disappearing down a side alley so that she wasn't seen by anyone in front of the house. She had to stop to keep Logan quiet before walking quickly down the next street. She only stopped when she reached an older, less known INN at the edge of town. She rented a small room at the back of the building and put the boys to bed. The moment they had gotten to the INN Logan had started crying and even Alexander started to whimper. They wanted their father.

Sweeney walked into the house. He looked around.Rosetta? Where is she?He asked Johanna. She looked at him, and his face dropped. He burst out the door.Rosetta? Rosetta!

Rosetta sat down on the bed and picked the twins up. She held them close and cried her heart out. She looked down at them through her tears. "I'm so sorry..." she whispered. She suddenly regretted taking them with her. They deserved to be with their father too.

Sweeney ran through the town, frantically calling her. He stopped and asked each person if they had seen her.

A sudden knock on the door had her up and moving in seconds. She paused on her way out of the back door when she recognized the voice of the INN keeper's wife. "Mrs. Raven? There's a man going around town looking for you." the woman said through the door. Without even hesitating, Rosetta took the twins and the suitcase and slipped our the back door. She started walking down one alley to another, staying off the main streets. She planned on going to the other side of town were a small road led to the next town, but had to stop and hide in an alley when Logan started screaming. The boy was hungry and he wanted his father. So did Alexander, who also started crying.

Sweeney ran towards the sound of the screaming. He would know it anywhere.

Rosetta tried to get the boys to be quite, but finally just sat on the ground with them in her lap and started sobbing. She knew she couldn't make it out of town without someone noticing her and if Sweeney was nearby he would have already heard his sons. I'm going to lose my sons. she thought miserably.

Sweeney twisted and turned, desperately trying to figure out where the screaming was coming from. He knew the boys voices anywhere. He eventually started yelling Rosettas name, his voice quivering with raw emotion.

Rosetta heard him call her name and her tears continued to fall. She finally made up her mind. My sons don't deserve to lose their father. she thought as she stood with the crying babies in her arms. She grabbed the suitcase and put the strap over her shoulder so she could carry it before heading out of the alley in the direction of Sweeney's voice. She stopped dead in her tracks when she saw him just down the street, the twins' wailing cut off when they saw their father.

Sweeney saw her making her way towards him. He dashed across the remaining ground and threw his arms around her.What the hell?He whispered into her ear.

Rosetta tried to keep from crying more, but she couldn't stop it. She sobbed against his shoulder as she held the boys between them. When she finally got a little control over herself she pulled away and held Logan and Alexander out to their father. "T-take them. I...I'm leaving." she told him.

His eyes widened.What? Why? Rosetta...He stuttered.

Rosetta shook her head and handed the twins to Sweeney. "I'm not going to stay and get between you and your first wife. I'm leaving and the boys should stay with you and their sister. Perhaps Lucy could become their mother like I did for johanna." She told Sweeney, attempting a smile.

His expression was thunderous.You expect me to leave you? After all the years we've spent together? After we've had two beautiful children? You think I don't cherish that? Do you think I'm a monster?He asked, his voice cracking on the last question.

Rosetta took a startled step back, her eyes widening. "N-no of course not..." she whispered shaking her head. "B-but you were with Lucy...long before you were with me. I just didn't want to stay and become a-a burden." she mumbled. Her knees buckled and she fell to her knees, sobbing into her hands. She hadn't meant to make Sweeney mad.

Logan and Alexander were startled by their parents and Logan had started crying. Even though they didn't know what was being said, it didn't mean they didn't understand that something was wrong.

He went down with her and pulled her into his arms.You will never be a burden to me.

Rosetta sobbed against Sweeney's chest, cradling the crying infants between their bodies. She finally got a little control over her crying and sat up a little. "B-but what about Lucy?" she asked in a quiet, trembling voice.

His body stiffened.What... What about her?He had waited for 17 years now to see his Lucy, but he had Rosetta as well. And he couldn't leave either.

Rosetta just shook her head and held Logan and Alexander who had finally quieted down and were no longer crying. "Just...never mind." she said looking down at the boys. "I-I'm sorry." she whispered, her lip trembling again as she fought back the tears.

He sighed and shook his head.What am I going to do with you?He asked her, stroking her upper arm gently.

Rosetta looked up at Sweeney and managed a small smile. "Love me like I love you." she answered quietly, her green eyes sparkling. Logan whimpered and reached out towards his father, wanting to be held by him.
