She wasn't listening. Her hands were on her stomach and her eyes were wide with pain.That ... man... who... IS... he?She managed to ask.

Rome quickly walked over to China, seeing her in pain. "China? What's wrong?" he asked worried, ignoring her question.

She fell to her knees and drew her nail across her dress, ripping a hole and revealing a long, deep scar, colored red, gray and black.This scar... only flares up... near... its... Creator... or somebody... CLOSE ...to him...She cried out and bent over, her scar starting to rip and bleed around the edges.

Rome stared horrified at the scar. He dropped to his knees beside her, but was afraid he'd hurt her if he touched her. "That man is...my father." he whispered.

Her breath was short and gasping.What...is...his name?She asked, her voice barely over a whisper. She reached for his wrist and gripped it, tightly.

Rome shook his head. "I...I'm not sure. I've been on the run from him ever since I can remember." he said, his voice becoming desperate. He knew he was starting to panic, but he couldn't help it.

She took her arm away from her stomach and looked at it. It was covered in bright red blood. She looked at him and tried to stay awake. Her body would repair itself when she fell asleep, but the pain was excruciating. The blood on her arm from her scar was dripping. She fell on to her side and struggled to talk.Rome... rip the knife... out of its hilt... and I will be okay...

Rome looked around in confusion. "What knife?" he asked, panicked. He reached out and grabbed China's shoulder carefully.

The knife... the knife that cut me... your... your father has it... she covered his hand with hers. Her tatoos and her eyes were ash gray.

Rome stared at the door, trying to figure out what to do. He looked at the stallion and a sudden understanding passed through them. The huge horse got up and moved away from the door, dipping his large head. Rome moved towards the door and opened it slowly. He stepped into the hallway carefully. "Just hold on China. I'll do what ever I can to stop your pain. I love you." he whispered as he shut the door behind him, not expecting her to hear. He heard Senshi lay back against the door and took a deep breath. He started down the hallway, stepping in spots that he knew wouldn't set off the traps. He opened the hidden door and stepped out into the main room. He walked up the slope and out of the entrance. His father spun around to face him. "I knew you were around here somewhere." the man nearly growled. He lunged towards Rome, moving to fast to avoid, and sent them both to the ground. They fought hand to hand, beating eachother bloody. They broke apart and Rome took his chance. He muttered a spell that sent a lightning bolt at his father, only to be deflected by a sheild. "So you've finally discovered your powers." the man chuckled bitterly. Rome growled and cast several more spells only to have them deflected. He was trying to remember another spell he'd read from the book when his father leaped at him. Rome cast a shifting spell and jumped away turning into a sleek, black panther in mid air. He turned snarling and lunged at the older man. He knocked him over and spotted the knife. He gripped it in his mouth and yanked it out of it's hilt. He jumped away and cast the shifting spell again, returning to his human form. He stood up and threw the knife away. Smirking at the look on his father's face, obviously the man hadn't been expecting him to know any spells. His father glared up at him and then his eyes narrowed, looking at his neck. "You got yourself bit. You're even more of a disgrace. Nothing more than a mutt." his father growled. The air around Rome tensed and he realized his father was going to cast another spell. He prepared to deflect it when out of no where a large branch came crashing down on his father, knocking him out. Rome looked up into the tree where the branch fell and gasped. "What are you doing here?" he asked in shock.

She had no idea how painful it would be to break the spell. Her whole body felt as if it was on fire. She gasped and screamed in pain, her head felt like it was exploding.

Senshi jumped in surprise as the female screamed, his ears flicking back. He snorted softly, standing up and moved towards her. He streched his neck down and nuzzled her shoulder.

A man with long silver hair jumped from the tree gracefully. "Long time no see, Rome." he said smiling widely. "Silva?" Rome gasped in shock. "Yup." the man said nodding. A sudden scream that most people wouldn't be able to hear from far in Rome's hideout had him looking in that direction. "You have someone locked up or somethin'?" Silva asked, an eyebrow raised. "China!" Rome exclaimed running back into the hideout. He walked around all the traps as quickly as he could and threw open the door at the end of the hallway. He opened the box and released the traps. He rushed over and wrapped his arms around China. "China? What's wrong? What's going on?" he asked, worried.

She held her head and moaned.My head... burning....That was all she managed to say as she slipped into unconscious, instinctively snuggling into Rome's chest, sighing in contention, deep in sleep.

Rome lifted her in his arms and walked down the hallway, Senshi following closely. Rome laid her down on the bed carefully. He reached down and pushed her hair out of her face. He muttered a short spell to help with any pain she had and turned as Silva entered the hideout. "He got away. I was about to follow you when he woke up and took off. I..." Silva trailed off as he saw the woman laying on the bed. "A Vampire?!" he exclaimed, recognizing the tattoos. He instinctivly drew his sword and held it in front of him. "Rome get away from that thing!" he snapped, moving forward. "Don't even think about it Silva." Rome snarled. He blocked Silva's view of China, standing protectively in front of her. "Are you mad! That thing could kill you!" Silva shouted. Rome moved his hair away from his neck and watched as Silva's eyes widened. "It bit you?!" Rome shook his head. "She saved my life, Silva. I owe her my life." he told his friend sharply. Silva saw the look in his eyes and sheathed his sword. "You've got to be kidding me. You've been bitten by a vampire and then you fell for her. You have lost your mind! Do you have any idea what you are? And I'm not talking about being part vampire." Silva shouted. "What do you mean?" Rome asked confused. "You're a pureblood spellcastor, or were anyways. Now your father is going to try even harder to kill you. Purebloods are rare and powerful, not to mention the vampire blood in your veins now. You're a threat to him and he eleminates threats!" Silva exclaimed. "How do you know all this?" Rome asked warily. Silva dragged his hand down his face before yanking off his black gloves, revealing his moon and star tattoos. "I made a promise to your mother that I would protect you and you've made it near impossible ever since we were kids. But now you had to go off and get youself bitten and now your father is even a bigger threat and now I've got a huge friggin headache!" Silva snapped. He stormed over and sat down angrily in a chair. Rome could only stare in shock, trying to process the information.

China turned in her sleep. Her hair fell over her shoulders as she muttered something that only another vampire could hear. She slept in a twisted position that would give a human a major cramp. She sighed and spoke louder this time. She was muttering Rome's name.

Rome spun around to China as he heard her say his name. He pulled the blankets up over her body and rubbed her back soothingly. "Shhh...I'm right here." he whispered.

She slept for a few minutes, then woke up and saw the silver haired man looking angrily at her Rome. She snarled, jumped up and spun around, landing in front of Rome in a protective crouch. She growled, deep in her chest.

Silva immeadiatly leaped from the chair, drawing his sword. "Keep your distance vampire." he growled. Rome grabbed China's arm and pulled her back. "Shut up Silva and put that stupid sword away!" he yelled angrily, glaring at his friend. Silva sheathed the sword, but kept his hand on the top. "She growled at me first." he complained like a little kid, sitting back in the chair with a huff. Rome rolled his eyes. "Are you alright?" he asked China.

She looked at Silva for a few more seconds before turning to Rome.I am fine. Who is this and why can't I hurt him?She glared at the man from behind Rome, and snarled quietly, her hands on Rome's shoulders.



(oh forgot to mention that she can handle seeing blood from somebody that she approached, but somebody that she didn't approach, for example, Silva, if they cut themselves she would probably lose it.)

"His name is Silva. He's an old friend of mine." Rome told China. "Old friend? We're best friends. I've saved his sorry butt more times then I can count. And I'm a spellcastor, so you'd better watch your back vampire." Silva growled, narrowing his eyes at her. "She has a name. It's China, Silva get it through that thick skull of yours." Rome snapped.

She bared her teeth and hissed at him. No, you watch your back. The only reason that I am not ripping you apart right now is because that would probably hurt Rome.Just don't cut yourself...She thought.

Silva rolled his eyes. He stared at her and suddenly smiled. "You can't even control yourself yet. The bloodlust in your eyes is so obvious if you know what to look for. I take it that Rome was the first one you've bitten?" he said, his voice quiet. Rome looked at his friend then at China, confused. He shook it off and glared at Silva. "Shut it Silva, before I make you." Rome growled. Silva just rolled his eyes again and leaned back in the chair. "The vampire started it." he complained. "Her name is China!" Rome snapped.

She went completely still. I... I don't know what you're talking about... She tried to stay calm. She had a dark past, one of violence and bitter hatred. A sudden drop in population had people thinking that there was a famine... it was her, young, violent and without a teacher.

Silva's eyes narrowed, and his smile widened. "Maybe Rome was the first one you've changed but he's definitely not the first one you've bitten. But you didn't stop at just bitting did you?" he asked bitterly. He yelped in surprise as Rome leaped at him and knocked him to the ground. "Leave her alone." Rome snarled, punching Silva in the jaw. They wrestled around on the floor, knocking over anything in their path, throwing punches when ever they could. It finaly ended with Rome sitting on Silva's back, pinning his arms to his side with his legs as he pulled on his friends long silver hair. "Okay! Okay! I give up! You're going to rip my hair out. Let go!" Silva shouted, wriggling under Rome's weight.

She blinked. Rome. Leave him.She said, quietly. She kept hearing the sounds of people screaming, their eyes full of pain and their blood dripping... she gasped. Blood. Damn it, why did she think of that when she had a stranger in the cave???She looked at him and swallowed, trying to control herself.
