Wes drove up the trailer, and came over to the back opening the door. He waited for Wicca to come out.

Wicca snorted, grateful for the end of the ride. She slowly backed out, and looked around, taking in her new home. She had a flashback from when she was stolen, and she shivered, her thin frame shaking from that small amount of activity. Walking exhausted her, and so she just stood, nnot wanting to move at all.

Wes looked at her and just shrugged, he opened the pasture door to let Wicca go in if she'd like.

(It's awesome, and, Psch! Wes is certainly caring for a half starved prego mare D:)

Wicca decided she would make it the few steps into the pasture. She walked in, and nearly collapsed from the effort. She was getting weaker by the hour. She dropped her head immediately, and began eating, tearing up the grass ravenously, as if it would be her last meal ever. She snorted happily as she grazed.

He quickly jogged into the feed room, and came back out dropping 8.3 oats and 22 pounds of hay in front of Wicca.

(Now we're talking xD)

Wicca snorted in thanks, and dug into the grain. After pushing it into the hay with her muzzle. She began eting the mixture of grain and hay, swishing her tail contentedly.

Wes patted Wicca on the neck softly, as if saying "Your welcome" to her.

(*Tries to get Pie's muse back*)

Wicca shied from his touch, and stepped away. She met his eyes briefly, and sadness, pain, and fear were all that were in her eyes. She glanced away again, and she began sweating. The whites of her eyes began to show, and she bobbed her head. All she knew was that humans hurt her, and were evil things that hated her, and wanted her to die. She took another step back, distancing herself a bit.

Wes sighed, "It's okay girl, I won't hurt you." He stepped back a bit, now keeping his distance. "Go on, eat. I won't hurt you at all, trust me."He was now a few feet from the hay and oats, keeping his word. He held his hands up, showing he wasn't going to be a threat to Wicca. He then placed his hands into his pockets, sitting down on the grass quietly, waiting for Wicca's next move.

Wicca, with a wary eye on Wes, stepped back over to the food. She ate a little slower than she had before, not wanting to get herself sick. And ear was turned in the human's direction as he spoke, and she felt a little calmer, hearing not yelling, but a soft voice. She was still very afraid, but she was able to relax just a little. She ate abut a quarter of her food, before going to the water bin and taking a quick drink. She then lifted her head, and looked at the man, watching him.

He glanced at Wicca, but then looked up at the sky quietly, he had a slight tear coming from his eye..Recently, Rebellion Prize had died. He wiped the tear from his eye, he looked down at the ground. Depressed as he was, he stood up walking into the barn for the Stallions/Geldings, of course, grabbing the broom and cleaning out Rebellion's stall. He sighed, walking back out, slowly now approaching Wicca to pet her again, only slowly.

(WHY DID YOU KILL HIM OFF?!?!?!?!?!?! D:)

Wicca noticed the man's sadness. So, she wasn't as alone in this world as she thought. She allowed him to pet her this time,because she somehow knew he'd never mean her harm. She could sense his heartbreak nce he touched her, and she nuzzled him gently, her eyes going from frightened, to calm and understanding. She gave a low nicker, and set her head on his shoulder. She would help him through his problems...as lon g as he helped her. (Awwwww (; )

He smiled as Wicca comforted him, he once again softly patted her. "It's nice to know you understand.." He said calmly, he sat there, thinking of the illness of what had killed Rebellion..He sighed softly, memories flowing through his mind of how he and Rebellion won through races and such.

Wicca lowered herself to the grass with a grunt, settling herelf next to Wes. She set her head in his lap, and nickered. Her weariness was forgotten as she continued her efforts to make the man feel better.

Wes took out his phone, of course, knowing this sign. He then set his phone down near him, and petted Wicca quietly. He would call the vet when he would need to, and he knew that this was a phase of her being about to give birth. He sighed softly again, forgetting about Rebellion, for now.

(Aaaannnddddd BAM!)

Suddenly, a stab of pain racked her side. Maybe if she stood, it would go away. So, she lifted herself, and began to pace. Walking wasn't helping! What was happening? She felt something pushin outward near her rear area, and she suddenly realized what was happening. Why now? She was so weak! She laid back down next to Wes, making she her head was set in his lap. She gave a frightened whinny, as she knew how wak she was. She didn't want her, or her foal, to die. (Dramaness )

He picked up his phone, and immediately called the vet. The vet would come soon, he hoped soon wouldn't be too soon, either.

Wicca's breathing became labored, and she whinnied again, though it was very quiet. She closed her eyes, opened them, and pushed. She rested for a second, before pushing again, and a tiny nose began to show itself.

The vet pulled into the driveway, and got out of the car. He looked around, and spotted a man and a horse in a pasture, and the horse was laying down. So that must be the mare that's giving birth He thought to himself. Hello! He called, walking over to the fence.

Wes waved, and motioned for the vet to come quickly, he was comforting Wicca the best he could.

WIcca pushed again, the head slowly sliding onto the ground. Wicca was quickly losing strength, and so she took a long rest, before she tried pushing again.

The vet ran through the gate, and over to the mare's rear. Why's this mare so skinny? He said, looking at Wes suspiciously as he gently grabbed hold of the now visible front legs of the foal, and began pulling as gently, but as quickly as he could.

He shrugged, "That's the condition I've bought her in.. Seems that her previous owner or owners have abused her quite a bit." He said calmly, petting Wicca softly.

The vet nodded, and gave a frown. Poor thing. He said. He'd finished pulling the baby out, and checked it's gender. It's a stallion. He said.

Wicca was unsettled by the vet, as Wes was the only one she really trusted. Had he not been there, Wicca would've been running around the pasture with have a foal flopping about behind her, trying to get away from the strange man. She was relieved when the foal was finally out. She would've gotten up to clean him, but she was too exhausted to do much more than breath.

Wes was relieved as well, thank God Wicca and her foal had lived. He sighed, now still petting Wicca softly.

The vet packed up his stuff, and stood. I'll send the bill. Oh, and make sure that mare and foal get special care. He said, before walking back to his car and driving away.

Wicca had regained some strength, and she lifted her head, and looked back to her foal. The tiny thing a blue roan, with a blob of white on his face. She'd already decided on a name. Nightshade. She only wished Wes knew what she was thinking. She lcked him clean, and used most of her strength to stand. Shade stood himself after a few tries, and began to suckle.
