The cave was silent after the roar of battle. Star lay in the shadows, exhausted, wavering between consciousness and sleep.

Wode Walked in. He smelled blood. He sensed a battle past. He strode over to star. "Oh, are you all right?" He asked kindly. "silly question that, but standard for finding one like this, what happened?" Wode asked worridly

She vaguely heard the question. "What? Oh yeah, fine." She murmured.

He smiled at her. " well you look pretty banged up." He said. Wode lay down near her.

She looked at herself through half-open eyes. "Oh, I guess I am..."

He sighed. " You best get some rest then if your gonna be planen on gettin better." He said

She nodded and slumped against him, drifting off again.

Wode lay his dark head on the ground and rest lightly.

She slept for a while, until the pain woke her again. She had stopped bleeding, and her coat was covered in dry, crusty blood. Her whole body ached, especially where she had major bruises and broken bones. She moaned, opening her eyes. "Ow."

He sat up and looked at her. No new blood was flowing. Wode got up quickly and looked her over. "well then, at least now all you have to worry about is broken bones. Least I can say is now you might not bleed to death." He started helping clean the dried blood off her coat.

She nodded, but that sent her head spinning. Her throat felt parched.

northern star watched plainly

Wode didn't turn to see Northern Star, he knew the other horse was there. He called simply "Mind you help me find a drink for this mare." Then added to Star," You look as if you outta be thirsty, what'n all you been through id immagine."

She sighed and blinked in reply, nodding sending pain through her spinbing head and speech hard on her throat.

Wode flicked an annoyed ear at norther star and puffed lightly at star. He trotted out of the cave and went to a nearby stream. He looked around for something to hold the water with. Hmm. He spotted a plant nearby that was rather cup shaped(I'd immagine a pitchure plant or something close to that). He picked up a hoof and pawed at the base untill it separated from it's roots. Wode picked up the plant carefuly with his teeth and dipped it in the stream, then dumped, filled, dumped, and when he was satisfied it had no more crud in it he filled it and walked carefuly back to star. Wode set it next to her close enough she could drink and not move too much. "here you go" he said.

She gratefully drank up the water, then flicked her ears. "Cherry!" She called hoarsely, ears pricking for a reply.

Northern star looked around..

She called again, flicking her ears nervously.
