Cherry slowly walked in she looked at the snow, she was freezing from the coldness so she moved into a trot, then a canter.As she could make out a cave a little whiles away...Tragedy struck, a blizzard started coming up and she was very small and thought she wouldn't make it through..she started galloping but fell into the snow, once.As she got up she galloped faster to the cave, she finally made it."Safe and Sound at last..."she thought.She blocked some of the doorway with branches and leaves.She soon got comfortable, then fell into a light sleep..her sleep became heavier every second..at last she fell into a deep sleep, like she was just hypnotized.She dreamed about lots of things because she was so happy and warm.She thought her parents were next to her sleeping as well, but they were not.That was the sad thing in her life..Her parents had died.

A shade of paler grey detached from the shadows. She slowly stepped forward, ears flicking back, nervous. What little light that filtered from the wall of branches illuminated. She was a fleabitten grey Spanish mustang maren young and graceful, but stockily built. She snorted softly, studying the small bundle. "Hello?"

She woke up with a startle as she now tried to scramble onto her legs."H-H-Hi.."She nickered nervously and scared, she was nearly shaking.She stepped back a few feet, looking at the mare.She was still shaking, a bit but not a lot.

"Oh poor baby." She murmured." Are you cold?"

She nodded a little bit but not a lot.She slowly walked up to the mare"M-M-My parents..they died."a tear drew from her eye.

She lay down, looking at the foal, offering her warm side. "Oh. I'll take care of you." She said softly.

She trotted next to the mare, and lied down."What's your name? I'm Cherry"she said in a gleefully-sad-like tune.

"Stor. My names Star." She said softly. She looked down at the tiny filly, one ear flicking.

Northern star a stallion walked up."hello?" HE looked around when he saw the mare and foal, he kept his distance.

She nodded, then looked at Northern..she got and uncomfortable feeling and leaned againest Star.

"Don't worry, he can't hurt you." She said softly. Cherry was far to young to be in a lot of the stallions who roamed the caves interests. But Star wasn't. She instinctively clamped her tail down, watching Northern Star.

"I'm not a forcer" He said. He walked out into the clearing. He was young but still a stallion.

She got up and nudged him playfully, she giggled a little bit then tried nipping at one of his long mane pieces.

He pretended he was a colt and chased her, he pretended to be slowl so she would win> he had not had so much since...... It struck him, he stopped.

She giggled more, but then stopped when he stopped"Mister? is something wrong, Mister?"she nickered in a soft-rosy voice.She looked at him.

" My Name IS Northernstar, if you did not know!"

"Oh..I'm sorry, you didn't introduce yourself when you came in.."her voice changed to a sad-tune, and she walked back over to Star and lied down next to her.

The young mare comfortingly nuzzled Cherry, glancing up at Northern Star. "No need to snap." She said softly.

She muffled her face into Star's coat now feeling a tiny bit scared, but still a lot uncomfortable after he yelled at her.

"it was only a game"

"But you yelled at me"She muffled.Her head still in Star's coat.

He sighed.

She then, muffled her face in the grass.
