The pale yellow light reflected off the horizon, as the sun peeked up over the edge of the ocean. The breeze shuffled across the sand, carrying salt with it. The last remnants of night lingered in the sky, fighting for a chance of darkness. The clear water lapped at the sand, and the crystals under the surface sent fragments of light dancing along the floor. Across the flat surface, there was a single disturbance. A sort of swirling, besides some rocks, like a group of large fish schooled. There was a flare of silver on the rocks, something that glittered in the light. It was hair. It stretched about a yard across the oyster-riddled boulder. Laying on the edge was the torso of a girl. Her skin was a pretty cream, not pale but not really tanned either. There was something wrapped around her chest, presumably a bathing suit top, and the rest downwards was below the water. Something rose out of the water, above the swirling. A goats head. It bleeted pitifully, and dove again, almost a trick of the eyes. The girl glanced towards the beach, her gold eyes searching for anyone.

David walked out of his house with his surf board ready to go surfing. He walked and set his board down looking at the waves.

The girl slid off the rock, unscathed by the barnacles, and peeked around the side of it, only her eyes and up above the water. Her silvery hair swirled just below the surface, the current pulling it this way and that. A human, how interesting. She crept forward, clinging to the oyster-riddled rocks with strong yet delicate hands. Her gold eyes scrutinised the man intently, curiously.
