"A girl called Virginia Lancet. Tragic life; her father left when she and her brother were born. Their mother died when they were four, so they lived with a cousin. Her brother died from cancer when they were thirteen, and so she went and lived with her riding instructor for a few years, before going to college on an impressive scholarship and saving up to start the stud." She bit her lip. "I've only talked to her once or twice, but she seems nice enough."

"Wow." he thought about if he would have had her life he would not be able to jeep going, "That's crazy.."

She nodded, turning down a side trail that curved beside a river.

He looked at the river as they passed by it. He stared at the reflection, getting lost in thought,

Suddenly the trail opened to a steeply sloping hill, the river cascading down a rock cliff to a pool below.. The cliffs extened around awa from the water, then turned into the hills.

"Wow, its really pretty." He patted Charlie's neck and smiled over at the other pair.

She nodded. "I camoe here to think." There were beautiful flowering plants in the clearing, like lilys and wild roses. Cassie dismounted, slipping off Pennys saddle and bridle. The mare walked over and began grazing on the hill. Cassie put the tack on a log that was propped up by bases made from forked branches.

Denis watched her, than dismounted as well, pulling off the tack and placing it where Penny's tack was now.

Charlie trotted off to join his sister. Cassie pulled off her boots- worn and faded leather cowboy boots- and sat, dangling her exposed calves into the river, letting the current tug at her feet.

Denis sat down a couple feet from her. Not letting his legs into the water, he just stared down at it.

She absently ran her fingers through the grass, leaving tiny wildfloers blooming. She looked over at him. "Penny for your thoughts?"

He gave a look, "Hmm?"

"You don't have to tell me if you don't want. But I'm all ears if you do." She watched him, gaze gentle but still intense.

(you just want to know what he's thinking?)

"Just thinking about my sister... and Daioh, Burst and Cobalt and Feather(i think thats her name) I was thinking of selling them. I can't really ride that well anymore and I don't think it's fair to them."

(Yeah. Its a saying )

She nodded sadly. "Well I think you're just as good. You just need to take it easy. They are happy, running in pastures and getting fat, but its your call."

He let out a small laugh, "I guess I just need to make some more time to spend with them."

She watched him, the violets twined around her fingers and up, twisting into a miniature sculpture of something undecipherable. "If you need any help, ever, all you have to do is ask."

He looked at her with a smile, "Thanks."

She dipped her head slightly, looking into the river. "Anytime." She glanced back up, smiling softly. Then she dropped back, laying in the grass, rainbow-like hair spread out against the rest of her raven-black locks. She sighed, watching the clouds. "I could spend days out here."

"Just get a tent and some supplies and it is very do-able." He laughed as he looked up at the clouds.

She laughed. "Maybe I will one day."

He smiled, "Ahhhh... That would be fun."

She smiled, looking at him. "You could come too. A proper camp out." She grinned.

He looked at her, "Alright. Sounds good to me." He smiled.

Her grin toned down to a small smile, and she blushed and looked away, back at the sky.
