Jo jumped out of the truck and said, "Ok, you can choose any stall, Mo dosen't have one yet and I don't think Cazara or Shadowfax will get one."

"It doesn't look like Cazara and Shadowfax like Mo too much." She grimly smiled and lead her new mare into a seperate pasture,she wanted some time alone out in the open space with her mare. "I think i'll name you...Nala." She grinned and took off her halter and leadrope,dropping them to the ground she walked quickly back to the stables and pulled out a grooming box with everything she needed and then grabbed a western saddle and bridle. Heaving she walked over to the fence and put the sadle on the fence,walkinig back she got the only un-dusty western blanket she could find and walked back to Nala. She jumped the fence and came with the grooming kit,a halter,and two lead ropes. She clipped the lead ropes' on together and put the walter on,she picked up one of the lead ropes' and left the other on the ground,she started grooming.

She brought over the blanket to sniff.

"Oh, come on. Who wouldn't like you?" Then Shadowfax walked up slowly. He sniffed her and nuzzeled her arm. Then he turned to Nala and nuzzled her too. Nala whinnied in reply.

She shoed Shadowfax away. "Go boy." She gently set the blanket on Nala's back,waiting for her response.

Nala accepted it as if it was nothing as Shadowfax obeyed and walked to a feed trough.

She pulled the saddle over and pulled it up high enough so Nala could smell it.

Nala slightly backed away from the sadddle, unsure what it was.

She dropped it to the ground and whent to get the bridle,she lifted it under her nose,it has some split reins.

She backed away again, still unsure.

She slid a carrot out of her pocket,holding them side by side.

Nala bent her head down to eat the carrot.

She gave it to her and quickly put the bridle on,she pulled out a suger cube and offered it to Nala at the same time,petting her comfortingly.

She didn't even notice the bridle as she took the sugar.

Now for the saddle,she heaved it onto her knee. She put an apple and a carrot on the floor and waited by Nala's side for her to reach down and eat it.

Nala smelt the sweet apple almost as soon as it was in range. She bent down and ate the apple quickly, ignoring the carrot completley.

She dropped 3 suger cubes on the floor too and with a mighty heave she got the saddle on,she quickly cinched her tightly and stepped back,grabbing her reins quickly and rubbing her neck soothingly.

Nala ate the sugar cubes, this time noticing what was happening. But she didn't care, as long as there was food. Especially apples.

She sighed. She picked up the quarter of an apple of what was left and fed it to her,she picked up te cubes and stuffed them in her pocket,she'd give Cazara and Shadowfax one later. She put her foot in Nala's stirrup and mounted,getting ready for a lot of bucking.

Nala wasn't used to the wheight of a saddle, but she had been ridden before. She simply shifted her wheight on her back legs. "Wow," said Jo, "she didn't buck. Wanna go for a ride?"

She relaxed and nodded,she clucked,"Walk."

Nala walked forward slowly and Jo went to tack Mo up. A few minutes later, he came back, riding his horse.

She smiled and rode beside him,she blushed and clucked,"Trot." She didn't want him to see her blush so badly.

Nala broke into a steady trot and whinnied. Mo turned and caought up with them. "Theres a creek down in the woods, do you want to go trail riding down there? Its supposed to be fun, I haven't had a chance to ride there yet."

"Sure." She clucked,"Canter."

Nala cantered, the extra wheight only slightly slowing her down.
"Ok, then, too the woods!" He went over to the gate to open it. He held it open for Megan and Nala.
