Amber clambored from the lake, the water twirling down her legs. She sat, knowing any second now viento would appear. Like always, he did. "Amber." he said, dipping his head. 'I'm here to see Sila." she said, not even replying to his greeting. He nodded, and tipped his head back in a howl.

Sila came trotting with her pupps behind her. "What?"


He silently slipped out of the water.

She glanced at Rio, and sighed. Whatever. She turned back to Sila. "Did you send a sign?" she asked. She wasn't one to beat around the bush.

"Nothing around our camp." she said, sending a meaningful glare at Rio. "But there was an... incident... with Fogo and Neara. But I made sure it was cleared up."

The she-wolf tilted her head in interest. Viento looked over at her, alarmed.

She flicked one ear. "You better tell me the whole thing." she said. Amber was the most independant and disagreeable of the Alpesses, and was a good alie and a better enemy.

"Your breaking the code warrior." Her hard set gaze showed she was Lady of the whole land.

She flicked one ear. 'I will not act until I know exactly what my actions are causing." She replied with a steady gaze. She wasn't cahllenging Sila, she just wanted to know what her actions were causing. "Who are we attacking after snow?"

Viento flicked his wing over Silas back to relax her.

"Viento,are you with me or not?! I'm not sure yet,I will send a sign to you or your warrior when I know." She spun around to her pupps. Bending air she whent to the cave.

He sighed and followed her. Amber grumbled and turned, splashing back onto the lake.

Rio plodded after her.


She licked Viento.

Viento chuckled. "Maybe you should think all of it through, decide the whole thing, before you start attacking." he said. He was the head warrior.

She flattened her ears'. "Fine if you think that way then go sleep outside!" She turned her tail,shoving it in his face and curling around her pupps.

He sighed, and licked her ear once. Then he turned and silently left, a single feather fluttering to the ground. Outside, he leapt up to the roof of the cave, settling into a laying position, wings folded neatly over his back. He lie still, ears pricked, watching for anything that may harm his family.

Sila quietly strided out of the den and flew up to Viento. Trying not to wake anyone. She curled under him and leaned against him.

He gently moved a white wing so it was covering her like a blanket. He gently licked her ear, twice this time, and set his chin on his paws and watched the area again.

She licked his face. "Sorry Viento."

"Hush." he said softly. "Sleep now." He started gently washing her forehead.

She hushed and started dozing off.

He slowly stopped, and continued to keep watch.

She woke with a start. Yowling she had to just call a pack meeting. Including everyone.

He stood, startled, and jumped from the top of the cave. He landed silently, flicking his wings over his back.
