Silver Mist looked around, satisfied with the land. She snorted, whinnied, and then stamped the soft earth, claiming the territory as her own. Her son, Glostick came up behind her. "Scent marks finished." He told his mother. "Thank you." She replied.

a filly walked into the opening,crying.she didn't see the mare and bumped into her.she got knocked over and scrambled in the dirt.

Silver looked down. "Oh! Are you alright, little one? What is wrong?" She asked, worriedly. Glo, having a soft spot for foals, was watching the foal, worry also visible on his black, and glowing green face.

she looked up at her and thought"what did she say?"she had not learned horse language because at birth her mother died.

Silver titled her head. "Was the filly mute?" She turned, and showed the filly her teats. She, of course was magic, so she could generate milk if need be.

the filly got up and suckled swishing about her fluffy tail.

Silver smiled lovingly, and looked up at her son. "Loos like you have a new sibling." She said. Glo whickered, and walked away. He was going off to guard the territory.

she stopped and sneezed a little one and drifted into a slumber.

Silver chuckled, and lay next to the filly, covering the small body with her head to keep her warm.

she cuddled into her side and whinnyed in her sleep.

Silver smiled, and huddled with the filly, even though it was warm, young ones, she knew, had a hard time holding body heat.

she got closer and whinnyed one more time.

Silver gave a low rumble. "Shh, my beloved." She said softly, before falling asleep.

she stopped and dreamed a deep one.

Silver woke. She figured the filly had no name, since, using telepathy on the ittle girl, her mother died at birth. "I'll call you...Survera, because you survived a terribl ordeal." She said. (Like the name?)

she nodded her head in her sleep almost as to a yes.

Silver was hunggry, so she stood, and grazed next to the slumbering child.

the filly awoke and went to her new mother.

Silver lifted her head and smiled. "Good morning. How are you?" She asked. She hadn't dug around inside the filly' head enough to find that she didn't know how to talk.

the filly neighed as to a response and suckled.

Silver chuckled. Glo cantered over to her, and nuzzled her shoulder. "Morning, Mother." He said, before galloping off again.

she looked at her brother and tried to keep up with him in the woods.

Silver cantered slowly behind the two, so she'd be there if Survera lost Glo. Glo, however, slowed his pace to a slow trot.
