She giggled. "Good!"

he snorted and frowned."hmmm?"he raised a brow and looked at her.

She chuckle. "I mean it's good that you're used to the energeticness."

"you shouldn't say that.it just tired me out from tracking down whisper."he chuckled.

Her eyes widend. "You mean..That was just to o look for Whisper? That wasn't about me at all?" She asked.

"oh no!i meant when she told me she was leaving."he laughed."no,no,i care about you to much."he licked her muzzle.

She gave a weak smile. "Oh." She said, then licked him back.

"maybe we should get some rest,hmm?"he looked at her and tilted his head.

Shanti nodded. "That would be nice." She said, just as Duce came in. "There wasn't any prey big enough to feed the pack. Something's killing the prey." He said, then stood guard as Shanti fell asleep.

thowra went to duce and said,"killing it?you stand gaurd and i'll go see."he ran into the forest and looked about.something was not right,it was quit,to quit.

Duce stood guard. Jesse woke, and walked over, sitting next to him. He seemed to know what was going on.

thowra scanned the woods and his ears were alert.

Shanti woke, but drifted back to sleep. Lilly, however, followed her father's scent. "Can I help, Father?" She asked.

he turned around."oh duce went out to hunt and he said that something was killing the prey."his nose lifted up into the air and his wings flapped."something isn't right."he got closer to her,hackles raised,protecting her.

Lilly stood, eyes glancing around. "Something's weird." She said, braveness thick in her voice.

he scanned and a a new kind of species of wolf darted out

thowra snarled and he stood in front of lilly.

Lilly stood, no fear showing in her dark eyes. "What do you want?" She snarled, walking out from behind her father. "I'm not a little girl. I can handel myself." She whispered, her voice inaudible only to her father.

he backed off a little and barked at it.


it slid a snake tongue out and stood on 2 legs.

Lilly lowered herself slightly, in a ready-to-attack position. "I said, what do you want?" She yelled at it."

it didn't answer and drove towards lilly.


thowra attacked it and bit it furiously shakeing it. it scratched his eye and he whimpered but didn't stay down.

he attacked again and bit off its flesh.

Lilly's yes widened. "Father! No! It'll kill you! Better me than you. I'll take care of the thing, and you go and protect Mother!" She screamed, before attacking the beast.

"lilly we take it down together."he ripped more flesh off.



it tried to hit lilly but missed because thowra bit its arm.

She snarled at her father. "Go! Before it kills us both, and Mother doesn't know a thing!" She desperatly wanted to do something on her own, something that would make her parents proud.

he thought and tore one more piece of flesh off then bounded off wakeing up shanti,getting blood all over her since his muzzle was drowned with it.


the thing roared and nipped at lillys ear.

Shanti looked up. "What's wrong? Why are you all bloody?" She asked, getting up

Lilly moved away quickly, though her ear was now torn. She viciously bit into it's arm, blood spurting onto her face.
