Cloud galloped majestically into the caverns. The snow seemed to melt as it landed on his coal-hot skin. His eyes glowed blue and his daggers were sharp and threatening. He let out a loud whinny, it echoed off the trees and through the caves, stretching on for miles. He reared and came crashing down, his daggers struck the ground hard and the snow melted around his iron-hot hooves. He trotted through the snow, the snow shriveling and melting wherever his daggers touched the earth. He paused and looked around. He snorted, and called out once again.

A shadowy figure moved in after him, eyes smiling sencerely, althhpugh it looked more like a smirk. "Hello." She noticed the way the snow melted. She figured he had wings, too. She had once had wings, but that was before her pwers had beeh stripped...

He turned towards her, his ears perked up. "Hello." his voice was gravely but sweet at the same time. He let out a small smile, it seemed forced, he didn't smile very often.

Her eyes, once a shining amber but now a sickly gray, bored into him. "I am Nevermore."

"Cloud." He introduced himself, he stared back into her eyes. Seeing a spark of past life turn into a Dell simmer of the present.

She glanced down, seeming to be shy, but just playing her little trick, hoping it would work this time. All the foas h beared... none of them giving her want she wanted... all of her own children she had to kill...

He smiled, "It is nice to meet you NeverMore. Would you like to go someplace less cold?"

"Sure." Her voice was quiet, the discise she had mastered.

He cocked his head and led the way out of the caverns. He slowed, wanting to walk next to her.

She caught up to him, smiling sheepishly.

"So where do you come from?"

"Uh, far away." Not part of the plan.

"And why do your eyes seem to me that they have lost the joy of living?"

Shoot. This stallion was smarter than most, more caring than most that she had ever met. This question struck her by surprise. "Because they have," the tone she used omplied that she was offended.

He regretted the words, "But why?" His voice came out a little softer this time.

"Because they have lost all they ever loved."

"I am sorry to hear that. Do you belive they will ever glow life-filled again?"

"There is only one thing that can fill them, and it is very rare."

"And what would that be?"

"A foal willing to give me what I lost."

He cocked his head, "What did you loose?"

"Man, you ask alot of queations. My powers. Similer to yours."

He laughed lightly, "Sprry, I am just curious. I can give you some of my powers, it is one that I posses"

"And for what in return?"

"Seeing in your eyes happiness."
