The gentle rustle of sand under hooves sounded in the arena, as a girl and a horse rode. The mare held a bouncy, even trot, her pink hooves cutting the ground. She was slightly round, with early pregnancy, but was a pretty sight with pink skin, soft, shiny white fur, and long cream mane and tail. Her startling blue eyes watched the arena as the girl directed her. The girl had silvery blond hair, in a long braid down her back. Her skin was softly tanned, and her eyes silver. She wore a halter neck dress, the skirt flitting over her own swelling stomach, and her long legs. She drew back the reins of the hackamore slightly. "Woah." Lee cooed, shifting on the mares bare back. Vixen slowed down to a walk, snorting softly.

Denis watched in secrecy, admiring the pair. He wondered if he would ever get to ride so easily again. He loved to ride bareback but with his knee, it hurt just hanging there. He sighed, hoping it didn't give away his hiding place.

Vixen spooked slightly at the sound, turning to face where it came from, ears pricked. Lee patted her neck, "its all right girl." She cooed. She spotted a foot, and rolled her eyes. "Its just Denis." She swung sideways, hopping off, and holding the two loose reins, peeked at him. "Why are you hiding?"

"Well, I didn't want to disturb you... but that didn't go to well." he grinned sheepishly at her, then turned to the horse, "Sorry girl." He held his hand out to her, offering a carrot.

She snorted, grabbing the carrot and munching happily. "I think that means apology accepted." Lee laughed, stroking the mares nose.

He chuckled lightly, "Well.. I'm glad." he grinned and gently patted her neck.

"This mare is such a sweetheart." Lee said, beginning to braid her long mane.

"Yeah she is." He grinned.

"Mmm that's why that stud's so protective. I couldn't put him in the paddock because ishe wasn't going out yet. He's in the barn throwing a tempertantrum." She shook her head, smiling.

He chuckled, "How does she feel about it?"

She smiled, tickling the mare's nose. "She puts up with him. He protected her for a long time, from the dogs and the other stallions and the people. They're quite attached to one another." She watched Vixen lip at her fingers contently. The gate rattled, as Night pulled the latch and trotted into the arena, greeting the three with a nicker, and immediately standing behind Lee, lipping her silvery hair.

Denis laughed, "He sure does love you."

She smiled. "Well, there are many reasons for that." She shrugged. "He'd like you too, but unfortunately you're my friend and do take an awful lot of my attention away from him." She smiled. Vixen was half asleep where she stood. As Lee tickled her nose, Night dropped his chin on her whithers dozily. "They're the biggest softies." She laughed.
