Ben pulled up in the drive of the Stud Farm. He got out of his truck and walked towards the barn. "Hello?" He called out.

Virginia was shoveling snow from in the first paddock, her mare grazing in the patch that she had uncovered. She glanced up. "Hey, over here." She wore paddock boots, worn and faded jeans, and a knit grey sweater, black scarf around her neck, and leather gloves protecting her hands. Her black hair was pulled back in a braid, with the exception of her fringe and a few stray strands. Despite her work clothes, she looked elegant as ever as walked over to the fence, shovel resting on her shoulder. "Hey." She smiled, recognizing Ben.

He smiled at her, "Hey. You got any open jobs?"

"You're kiDding. I have a barn full of studs and a three month old son. I'm not wonderwoman." She smiled slightly. "You could start with shoveling the yard for the studs. They shouldn't bother you, its too cold."

He grinned and nodded, heading off to do the job. "Thanks." He called out over his shoulder.

She nodded, finishing up shoveling a considerable patch of green in front of the mares shed. "There, sweetheart." She murmured, patting her neck. The mare nuzzled her affectionately. Virginia hopped the fence, carrying the shovel into a tool shed, shutting the door when she left. She went into the barn, pulling a sheet and blanket from the rail in front of a stall and stepping inside to blanket the stallion.

Ben finished pretty quickly, he came back up to Virgina, "What else?" He grinned, leaning against a wall.

"Help me sheet and blanket them?" She said, smiling slightly as she pulled out a fjord stud.

He smiled, "Yes mam."

She finished buckling him. There were two andalusians, an arab, and a thoroughbred left.

He did the andalusians and then the arab, he then did the Throrughbred, "All done."

She nodded and pulled the big barn doors shut and opening a small one. "I just need to rug Heroine, then we can go inside and warm up."

"Alright, sounds good to me." He smiled and waited for her to blanket the horse.

She blanketed her beautiful mare in soft woolen rugs, and then stroked her nose before leading the way to the stone cattage.

Ben followed her, jogging to catch up with her.

She pushed open the ornate carved oak door, holding it for him. They were greeted by the alluring scent of cherry blossoms.

He walked inside, pausing to smell the inside of the house. "Mhm.." He turned around and bent down to remove his dirty shoes.

She tugged off her working boots, and walked through the entry way into the main living area, scooping her son up before he could begin wailing. "Coffee?" She asked, heading towards the kitchen. The inside walls were a soft gold, photos in wooden frames sprinkled across the walls. The cottage was classy; not large, but open all the same. It was modern, with vintage edge. A strange style, but pleasing to the eye. Very Virginia.

He followed her, "Sure sounds great."

She set a kettle on the stove top, turning it up, and poured ground coffee into a french coffe press, putting down the filter. All with her son cradled in one arm. She pulled out two white mugs. "Hungry?"

He smiled, "Yeah. Just a bit." He walked into the kitchen with her, "Need help with anything?"

She looked around, biting her lip. "Do you mind having soup? I'm kind of low on groceries."

He laughed, "Sure. I could run out for you later if you want, and grab a couple things?"

She shook her head. "The most would be you coming out to lend a hand, and even that's a lot." She placed Johnathon in his rocking chair, and let him drift to sleep, pulling out a large pot and placing it on the stove.

"Okay.." He smiled as he watched the baby.
