I am working on a new book, and I just finished the epilogue. What do ya think?

“How sweet, thy sound. That saved a-”
“Stop!”
I turned quickly, only to see Jon with a long, bleeding scar down the side of his tan face. I began to run, and we met each other in the middle. His arms embraced me, but pulled out to soon. “They’re dropping them. Now! Into the cellar!” He shoved me toward the door just as an earth-shattering explosion erupted on the horizon.
We ran into the dank cellar. “I’ll be back, Grace.”
“Don’t go.” I could feel a tear stream down the right side of my face.
“I have to. I need to get the others.”
“NO!”
“Grace!” His strong hands gripped my shoulders. I felt so warm, so connected, so safe. But of course I wasn’t. I was the safest person in the whole town, but I still wasn’t safe. Ever since the war, I had been the lucky one.
“Grace. I love you. But its my job to get the others. Stay here.” I bit my lip angrily. “Please …” But it was too late. He had ran up the stairs, and he was already halfway upward.
Boom. Boom. I was knocked on my back. I reached out for something to grab, something secure. But I couldn’t find anything.

A few hours later, I stepped out of the damp, cold, cellar. My world … was ruined. No grass. No remaining buildings. No other living creature.
And instantly, I knew what had happened.

I was watching Mr. Bottomtooth from family guy sing Amazing Grace when I got the idea, and I needed a name. It just ... fat. XD
