Two dark figures rode through the darkness. They were old fashoned. Very old fashoned. The person who sat a top the tall strong horse wore a red-brown cape, and a hat. He wore long tan breeches and a fluffy white top. He was scraggly and dirty, but notecably handsome. The bay horse held his head high and picked his feet up in the air as he walked. His muscles bulged under his tough skin, and his coat shone. His mane and tail were jet black and he had a white blaze down his face. The man nudged his heels into the horse's side and the horse cantered off. They jumped over the fallen log that was in their path and the horse reared up in the air, he let out a strong, powerfull whinny. The man ontop the horse smiled.

A woman on a pure white mare apeared bareback from the woods. The two figures were followed by a chesnut stallion with a packsaddle mounded ontop of him. The womans eyes glowed as she said, "You're good, very good."

He looked at her, "Thank you." His horse bent his neck a little farther, the man patted his shoulder gently. "Who are you?"

(Crap! I forgot her name . . .)
"Sylvia, Sylvia Denton. This is Glorys Light, or Gloria, and Sweet Song, or Songbird." When she said "Gloria," she patted the mare. When she said"Songbird," she guestured toward the stallion.

He nodded, looking the horses over, "Nice names."

"Thank you, but I didn't name them. My parents did." She tensed as she said "parents."

"Where are they now?"

"Oh, probraly living in some giant over-grown mansion over looking the sea, or sitting down on the lawn of their beach-front house."

"Beach front?"

"They're frikin' rich, leaving me to live in some forest."

"What is wrong with the forest?"

"Nothing. I love the forest. But they never told me about all this technolagy crap. I've never even been to a real school! I lived their all my life, then they leave when I'm ten, now, I go try to find them and stumble apon 'laptops.'"

He chuckled, "I don't even know what a laptop is. I live in a valley, me and my horse."

She nodded, "I just learned what a laptop is, and Your glad you didn't."

He laughed. "Okay."

She nodded, "Its useless."

"What does it do?"

"It plays videos on a screen thingy, keeps track of your money, and a bunch of other crap."

"okay"

"Sounds stupid, right?"

He nodded, "Yes, stupid."

"I, personaly, dont know why they invented it."

"Neither do I."

She sighed, "I'm sorry, I talk to much."

He grinned, "But you are barely talking, I am the one who doesn't talk much."
